The really nice thing about the Luno folding option is that sometimes I go solo (mountain bike races) or the wife might want to join, this lets you do both. When you only use one side, you can carry extra gear.

Where would I acquire one of those trays to level out the mattress. I can’t seem to find one

Did you remove the back of the rear seats? I don’t them folded up?

What made you go with load C Falkens instead of P-rated passenger
@OverlandEngineer2 жыл бұрын
Not sure what P are, that sounds softer than load C. I would say the decision is between load C and E
@andyham60942 жыл бұрын
If you have an off road or overlanding rig, it should be C at least. P is just for pavement is just not strong enough for off road use. C or E is the way to go. C is fine for most folks unless you are one of those people who literally turned their truck into a bugout rig with ALOT of extra weight and doing harder trails with sharp rocks. I don’t have a rooftop tent or steel front and rear bumpers and sleep inside the cabin and C Falken wildpeaks have served me so well and held up to the abuse.

@@andyham6094 very well thought out response. I agree with this.

For that price you’d think they’d design the mattress to not need any shim

So are the second row seats completely removed?
@andyham60942 жыл бұрын
I mean any seat is technically removable but they are designed to take them out and then back in whenever you want. The 4Runner second and third row seats just fold down flush so you just put the mattress right over the folded down seats and it’s surprisingly big and comfortable.

@@andyham6094 The question was not are the seats removable but rather did you personally remove your seats. I have a 2017 forerunner with the third row seat option and neither the second row or third row seats fold down flat and flush. The second row seats are mounted to sliders which allow access to the third row. The sliders are permanently installed sub-surface in the void where other second row seats would fold completely flat thus causing the backs of my seats to come to rest somewhere around a 30° angle. The third row seats do fold flush into the floor but the floor itself is at an angle to provide enough room for the seats to stowaway. I have already removed the third row seats and fabricated a flat floor in their place. I only asked this question because I was considering removing my second row if you had to remove your second row anyway. If yours was only folded then I’m probably going to be on the lookout for second row seats to switch mine out with
