Oh snap I have met the owner during a black owned business event. She is so sweet! Making all this stuff fresh and from the heart mostly by herself, so I’m hype to see her product getting a YT review already 👏🏼 I have this gel and personally love it for a layer of extra moisture and the scent. I use it after my leave in and before a strong hold gel for twist outs. I have very frizzy hair too and am not a fan of wash and goes on myself in general. Your results still turned out cute af ! 😍

I believe that gel worked fantastic on your hair!!! You have curl definition, shine, volume....the whole nine yards!!! It looks perfect just like that including the bangs parted!!! You can see your pretty face a lot better! I love it! Oh and i almost forgot, almost zero frizz!

I actually think the results are gorgeous. Your hair is defined and shiny. Maybe the 'stiffer' feeling is owing to you using too much gel. I think I will give this gel a try based on your final results.

The way you were so optimistic through the application was so refreshing & cute!! I was definitely giving the product the side eye bc it WAS NOT looking good.. barely any definition & the frizz was outta control lol! BUT THE END RESULTS LOOKED AMAZING TO ME!!! You’d probably get a better result if you worked on smaller sections and actually worked on detangled hair. I also find that using freshly washed hair gets you a better result. 😉 It’s really hard to give a genuine review when you constantly compare it to other brands.. You could’ve just said it didn’t work for you and moved on. It looked amazing after but for people who don’t watch to the end, you just tore a black business down to make it seem “like you keep it real no matter what”. Not only that, product pairing is a thing, maybe you need to layer her products and give them a chance to actually work. I have them and they work. It seems like trying new products isn’t your thing. You seem to gravitate to your personal favorites and that’s fine too.

Perhaps you should’ve saved the little bit of grace you had for the review. I watched the whole video, hince the time stamp I provided (9 mins into your video). Let’s not get into rhetorics because if it was so much rhetorical, that too, you could’ve kept to yourself. As a creator, you should know the logistics in that people don’t watch full videos, and especially not when you say nothing positive for 9 mins into the video. I’m not tearing you down at all, I left suggestions for how to use the product and get optimal results, as I should as a black woman who’s had success with the product by simply following instructions. And it’s definitely the HYPOCRITICAL REVIEW FOR ME. Had nothing but negative things to say here, but was quick to take nice pictures and post and tag on instagram like you refer the product. The extra comments the entire video and especially at the END, which i watched and read, I.E “very small” business and “ I DO RECOMMEND the cute lipgloss” is what’s hypocritical to me. It’s black women like you, that make it hard for other black women to succeed. Quick to tear someone down, But will review for sephora and have nothing but positive things to say. Girl this review was shady asf, and you are trying to act as if you are supporting a Black woman-owned business but in actuality, you were being shady and wrongfully comparing it to manufacture products that maybe your fav. Your hair looked beautiful! And you did not properly section and finger the product through your hair and hair still was bomb and its thanks to that gel. The shade was real and it is unfortunate to see coming from another Black woman with a "very" small platform.
