i feel like for the long term uses of the cup you could probably empty it before you go say a 4 hour event. that way you don’t have to deal with it accidentally leaking while your there and having to empty it and wash it at the event. idk that’s what works for me at least ( at 7:12 )

I remember when I was 16 and tried out the menstrual cup for the first time and the first 3 periods were the sweatiest experience as I was fighting for my life to get it in and then fought to get it out. When I got the hang of it though? Best thing ever! I used the same cup for 7 years until I got an IUD and now I only spot so I stopped using anything, but I kinda miss her...

Oh also!! I used to bring a water bottle into toilet stalls to rinse the cup over the toilet!

Diva cups are the most comfortable I've used. Congrats on being more sustainable! Reusable cups are also so much less gross feeling haha

I love the flex cup!! I have that one and also the honeypot cup. Cups are difficult for the first few uses lol i also suggest the flex brand reusable menstrual discs, especially if you ever decide to get an iud for whatever reason (prevents accidentally suctioning it out). Fum craft idea maybe: sew personalized menstrual cup bags

I am someone who has an interest in doing so many different things, art projects and hobbies. But I can only ever actually do a project when there's a perfect storm in my head to have the motivation to do so. I'll do it for hours and hours while I'm in it, but then after that my ADHD and depression kicks in and says NOPE. I have multiple unfinished projects, books, paintings, ideas.. Please god does anyone have any tips on how to navigate this.. I see people like Gray constantly doing all of the fun and artsy things she loves to do, and actually finds the time to achieve these pieces and projects. Why can't I just be like this.
@h4zeg1rl2 ай бұрын
I feel the same. I rarely finish projects because I never find the motivation for it again and I can't give u advice on how to do things differently. I just wanted to tell you that you shouldn't compare yourself to others, especially to people online. Maybe grayson doesn't finish all her projects either? You don't know what's going on behind the camera... Don't blame yourself. We all move in a different pace and grow individually. Maybe you'll be different in a few years? Maybe you won't be. And both will be just fine. After all, you shouldn't do it for anyone else but you.

@@h4zeg1rl Thank you, this was a really sweet and thoughtful response. It makes me feel a little less alone, and you're right to mention avoiding comparing myself to others. But I do want to put some effort into improving these habits if I can. Creating beautiful and fun things is for myself! And it feeds my soul, so I'm tired of my brain preventing me from doing what makes me happy. Hopefully more time in therapy will help me! Haha. Thanks again 🤍

question for the people that use a menstrual cup and have really bad cramps. I've tried a cup but like it kinda make my cramps worse idk if it was the cups fault so let me know if this has happened to anyone else. I read somewhere that the vacumm seal that it creates (idk if it's called that way but in spanish "el vacio que crea la copa") can cause period cramps to get worse.

I didn’t like cups but I like discs. Cups made my cramps worse. I didn’t get any cramps with the Hello Disc and it was easy to take out because of the tabs. I don’t get periods anymore (chemical menopause bc my periods were so bad) but when I did, discs were my go to

honestly my menstrual cups always help my cramps. it reduces the pain because the suction does the work for the uterus, instead of squeezing itself to death. from a personal perspective, as someone who has severe pain during menstruation, cups definitely help ease things. But of course everyone is different.

my cramps have been so much better since using my cup!! but every brand is a different shape and also brands have tons of sizes! it can b rlly hard to find ur size at first. u have to know ur cervix height and everything and make sure ur inserting the cup not too far in and not too far out. so it’s rlly understandable to not want to go thru all that just to not be in pain LOL… i got lucky and got the right size right off. i totally forget im on my period when i have mine in though! i set my little timer on my phone and go abt my business! instead of like… crying and rolling around on the floor like i would with tampons or pads LOL
@martina-cc3chАй бұрын
@@cujo4397 yeah im thinking of trying another model that might be more comfortable cause like im ok with pads but it's not the best for me. It's great to know other experiences before completly giving up with the cup cause i really like the product and maybe it was the model that made my cramps worse.
