My favorite "recovery recipe" is: wash hair, olaplex no1 ½ oz with 2oz of water leave on hair for 20 mins, wash hair with shampoo, no conditioner. Then do an aphogee 2 step protein treatment step no1 as instructed then rinse, instead of using step no2 of aphogee, I use olaplex no2 as the conditioner leave for 10-20 mins. Rinse then style as usual. I love this combo because olaplex rebuilds the dilsulfide bonds making a great canvas for protein introduction I sandwich it with olaplex no2 because of preference and somewhat believe that will seal the protein in place for better retention. My recommendation as a bleach/hair color addict, hair abuser.

I'm not a hairdresser but this happened to me the first time I bleached my hair. A lot snapped but to save what I had : I toned it to close and seal the cuticle and then afterwards put a deep conditioning mask on with a plastic cap overnight. People think that toning is damaging but if you use an ammonia free toner it can actually help your hair.

You needed to use deep drying shampoo to open hair cuticle, then olaplex (to restore disulfide bonds) and after this some mask with keratin (to restore protein structures) and mb silk, milk proteins or fillers with the same ingredients ("Lador" have nice fillers). Protein structures and disulfide bonds between them are two components of healthy hair. Sorry for my english, im from Russia.

Nami you should try a flax seed hair mask. It's crazy how soft/healthy it makes your hair. Just boil some flax seeds (a cup?) in water (3:1 water:flax ratio) untill it becomes goopey, then strain it out so you separate the flax. (it can get kinda messy😂) Then mix in coconut oil or argan oil (or any oil you think works well with your hair) and mix it untill it becomes opaque and a little bubbly. Spread it all over your hair, cover with plastic and you can go as far as sleeping with it overnight (for best results). It can get a little itchy but it's nothing to worry about. Also make sure it stays covered in plastic as it will dry out and harden in air. Rinse it out + shampoo/condition as normal and you're done!! :) I'd love to see you try it, I've never seen it done on bleach damaged hair, luv ya💞

U may need too trim your ends a tad! My hair is over processed too and I trim a inch off about every month and it helps a lot and I wash it once a week cause it’s soooo dry but it grows so fast!! I use kinky tresses hair butter and the oil, shampoo and there avacodo conditioner it helps a lot and I bought hydrolized silk protein and mineral oil and jojoba oil all pure and mix it in my conditioner and I put them in my hair after I straighten it very shiny and it actually moves in the wind 🤣

@@peanutbutter35 i googled the hydrolized silk protein just now and it shows powdery texture.?so how is the ratio (inc jojoba oil)to mix with the conditioner? and,is it a leave in conditioner? (as u mentioned u put it on after straightened it) or just regular conditioner? *sorry for the loads questions though..im so interested about your method since my hair quite over processed too😭*
@peanutbutter355 жыл бұрын
mama sayang14 I got my stuff from make your own buzz I put the hydrolized silk protein in my shampoo or on my hair before I wash it because the silk doesn’t mix with oil. And I just put a quick pour of the jojoba oil and the mineral oil in my bottle of conditioner . Then after I air dry my hair I straighten it then I will pour a tad of the oils minus the silk oil in my palm and rub it together and run it through my hair. Don’t want too much oil cause it’s thick. Also kokum butter is good too it is a solid just take a piece and rub between your hands till it melts and run it through the hair. And also the silk protein feels like water not silk I thought I didn’t get the right item but I googled it and it said it’s not silky feeling who would of thought?🤨
