Make sure you zip tie that dash cam power wire in the A pillar so that it doesn’t impede the airbag. This is a critical mistake that some people make, which could be deadly. It needs to be completely out of the way of an airbag deployment. 👍

I did this years ago with just a generic suede and not the adhesive kind. 2 month in the sun made it fade really badly. I will be curious to see if this product will also fade in direct sun light over time.

Would love to see a comparison between a few other companies Alcantara products (many on Ali express) and maybe do a black headliner

Can someone share an opinion on this after months/years of use? How does the suede look and the adhesive behaves?
@kennyman3387 ай бұрын
Great video. Just our wrap in yesterday. And yeah the fabric does have odor when opening the package. What as weird ours got delivered by Amazon.. We got their black Alcantara to go with the ebony black interior on our tahoe (suv) in Arizona. But our upper panels came in the ugly tan I hate I painted my front A pillars in duplicolor fabric paint and it came out great. The Alcantara is going on the other upper panels in the back to give it a more darker interior.

@@OEMStez Thank you! Has the black fabric held up pretty well and stayed in place? I want to do fabric on my E46 on those trim panels, everyone seems to do vinyl wraps.

When painting yiur parts you should def sand and wipe with solvent then use 2 coats of primer even if you paint has primer in it then do way lighter coats . Like 3. Then use a high quality finish clear coat

Should it work on actual headliner? I’m thinking it should with some contact cement
@OEMStez2 ай бұрын
I’m curious to try it on a headliner, the adhesive feels pretty good but in Australia the roof takes a huge amount of heat so I’m not sure how long it would actually last

Product link
@OEMStez6 ай бұрын
Certainly! A product link typically refers to an API URL that provides a full list of available products or titles in a library or retail digital collection. You can then perform searches based on this link to find specific items or filter and sort lists. Hope that helps!

You should take the time ti do research . Cause using spray adhesive if dine correctly and if you use the correct stuff you would get better results . With the spray adhesive you need ti spray both parts and let tack up b4 applying g fabric

This won't hold as good as using pro grade adhesive, u gotta do research and use the good stuff,I did mine 3 yrs ago and I live near Boston, hot summers and frezzing winters so that is the true test,its gotta be a high temp polymer 797 adheisive and use bully dog adhesion promoter for plastic,for plasic parts u need to paint,next time u know!Also u need to remove the old fuzzy backing off old parts before applying new materials,and last,u need the first coat or two to be cloudy,this way won't hold because lack of bite,Has to be done in light layers r paint will just peel!
