Trying another 3D bloom experiment.

TUTORIAL DESCRIPTION:
In this video I am trying another experiment with ‪@hayleymariemills‬ on a 3d bloom using the live edge tray mold with the concave center. I am using ‪@LETSRESIN‬ casting resin and the ocean white pigment paste. I start out with doing two different layers of white U shape petals in each layer, after they are cured, I add a third layer using alcohol ink in colors of watermelon and Yellow and then doing a swirl of white for the bloom.

It is very pretty, and the purple for a backing would make it even prettier! I like the current video setup better - no glare reflecting off the glass/acrylic mat.

Pretty! It's hard to tell viewing crom the camera on video, but do the petals look like they're coming up the insides? I liked the purple behind it. If i were to try it, I'd use all white with tons of interference and leave the entire thing white and add some of those opal flakes on a still tacky piece and then cover it with white resin. It'd be all white petals with interference and an opal flake background. When i get more on my feet, ill have to send you some money to make me one like i just described!

I am by far no expert so only sharing what I think happened to your first layer, I don't think the depth had anything to do with it, however there was no where for the resin to pull to the center which is what I believe makes blooms; bloom...I hope that makes sense because in my head it makes perfect sense😂 there just isn't room to bloom when the bloom white is already at the edge of the clear resin

It makes perfect sense from a "bloom" standpoint, afterward I got to thinking I also think it was a heat factor as well. Very shallow and it cooled down way to fast and I couldn't torch it because to much mold was exposed. Petals can't spread in cool resin.
