Since I'm from Bacolod City, province of Negros Occidental, two of my favorite food are Bacolod Authentic Chicken Inasal( Chicken Barbecue) and Authentic Cansi (Beef Stew, meat and bone marrow) it has a Sour-Acidic taste that came from a fruit that can only be seen here in the Visayas area which is the Batwan/Batuan. Best to try it in Bacolod City. 😊

Yes I'm so happy you guys eat our food with such an open mind. Depending upon the region the dinuguan is not always made with organs. They can use pork shoulder which taste better. The version I grew up with is more of a thick sauce than a blood soup and it has more vinegar. 😋 I can't choose my favorite food because I love them all! Of course I knew you'd love the lechon and Halo-halo, It's a must try! Love you guys! Thanks for showcasing our food! ❤️

@@ChaseandShelbs try the dinuguan at Goldilocks. it's a local bakeshop but they also have restaurants in malls. they don't put innards in their dinuguan. just pure meat to suit most people's taste buds especially foreigners.

@judycastro462 жыл бұрын
Hi Chase and Shelbs! Dinuguan has different variations… the one you guys ate was grainy… but there are also other restos that cook dinuguan with a much smoother texture. Personally, i love Goldilocks dinuguan (smoother texture). Goldilocks is the go to bakeshop in the Philippines. Find a branch that also serve resto food. Usually we pair dinuguan with puto (rice cake). Enjoy your food hunting! 😊
@ChaseandShelbs2 жыл бұрын
Oh that’s good to know! I think we would have liked it better if it isn’t so thick. We might have to try that out!! Thank you 🥰
@chitocucio45732 жыл бұрын
There is the traditional dinuguan which is pork simmered in blood soup, and there is the crispy dinuguan with deep fried pork (bagnet-style) that gives it the grainy texture. And, since this is the house of lechon, they may have used roasted pork hence it looks and tastes somewhere in between.

Dang it! Now I'm craving LECHON and HALO-HALO. Such a treat watching you eat those delicious food 15 minutes before midnight. Also, with the dipping sauce, I usually avoid putting vinegar to it when calamansi is around, it would be too acidic for my liking. My ideal dipping sauce would be a tablespoon of soy sauce, calamansi, and teaspoon of fried chili & garlic in oil, perfect for dipping siomai and other fried foods. I do hope you visit Alona Beach and the famous Chocolate Hills in Bohol. Thank you for this vid, I thoroughly enjoyed it. More food vlogs and adventures ahead. Maybe try southern part of the Philippines? Fingers crossed. ❤️

Kudos to you guys for trying dinuguan (dee-nooh-goo-anh) and just like balut, the look to taste ration is also way off but most dinuguan doesn't have that 'iron' taste to it. Most of Filipino dishes are meant to be eaten with rice. And the quintessential dipping sauce of calamansi, vinegar and soy sauce is always a must. Love seeing you guys have so much fun and being adventurous with the food....with everything. You guys are awesome and i'm living vicariously through you. I miss my home country and sorry to say again, but I Chase's laugh is so so so similar to Seth Rogen...a fellow canuck and from your neighbourhood too. I'm on the opposite coast. Cheers guys . Chicken Tinola, but Dinuguan will probably be in my top 10. Food videos are always my Favorite and i love too see you guys having fun eating everything. I like my dinuguan to be in a more sour taste with coconut milk mix with it. It make the blood stew/soup to be smoother and creamier. By the way, if you guys interested to try some Filipino Weird Food Combinations, i can send some list on your Instagram, and there's Dinuguan in it. It will be a fun video to watch. And maybe it will blow your minds on some of them.

You made me crave halo-halo at 10 in the evening! Anyway, kudos for mixing it well. The long spoon is usually used for the tall glass that holds the halo-halo but since they gave you a bowl, a regular spoon would have been better. Btw, don't hesitate to ask for extra utensils or a replacement if you need it. The staff won't mind. As for the lechon, I noticed that Chase had a little difficulty with the skin. Seems that the skin wasn't crispy enough. I just hope that the lechon there tasted the same as the one in Cebu. Chase was also cute rolling the rice. It's not the typical way that it's done here but interesting to see 😊. Enjoy your Bohol adventure!

Just found out about your channel. If you want the best halo-halo around the Philippines, imho the restaurant chain Kuya J has the best and affordable especially the ube version. The ice is basically the flavour you order so it is more flavourful.

We love a good halo halo! Thank you, we will have to check it out ☺️ I’m not a fan of the plain ice (the toppings are where it’s at haha) so that actually sounds amazing!!

It's a nice chunk of leche flan @14:37. It's also a popular dessert there in the Philippines. 😊

I love dinuguan or blood stew. As for lechon i usually eat the crispy skin only and in our family the skin is the first gone. I describe halo halo as sinfully delicious. There is another dessert i have not seen or tasted for ages . That is saba con hielo y leche. In English it is whole plantain cooked in sugar syrup topped with shaved ice and drizzle with evaporated milk. Thanks for the vlog.

LOVE the vibe! the spoon may be smaller than the usual & has longer handle to perfectly mix the halo-halo.
