Not saying that's the case with this person, but they certainly seem to have a luxurious lifestyle compared to me. I’m a Londoner but the first thing I do when I go up North is to find a local chippy. 1/3 cheaper, larger portions and just better overall. London used to be brilliant for its fish n chips but it’s a dying breed now. My own local chippy, opened in the seventies and run by the same family… closing down due to the ridiculous rent increases

I'm in my 50's and there used to be a chippy in London everywhere within walking distance. Now you really have to hunt them about or go on Uber eats! Growing up, you had your favourite chippy and literally went there for decades. My local chippy which had been there since the 1960s had to close was because of the rent going sky high. I am fed up of everything being Americanised and being replaced by coffee shops. I am tired of coffee shops!😠😤

Bro in my country, there ain’t no town without a fish and chip shop. We usually go down to the beach and go for a dip then relax on the shore with some fish and chips. The best you can find will be from locals where they wrap your order in newspapers. So delicious 🤤

Local fish and chip shop for 3 fishes,3 chips and sauces is £17. But going to a restaurant is usually £12. I never seen fish and chips for £20 but i suppose thats london for you. My dad used to tell me that a working mans lunch was fish and chips. Cheap as chips as they say. Hes a proper northener and they don't play around when it comes to fish and chips. Unfortunately its getting pretty expensive that we wouldnt have it often. More as a treat

To experience the best fish and chips, you should go down to the british coast and search for the most popular local chippy there. It's half the price and really great quality, plus the experience of eating it on a cold winters night with the fresh smell of the sea air, cannot be beat 👌 The best I've had is Blue Dolphin in Hastings

Australia definitely has the best fish and chips in the world, I’ve never met anyone from the uk who hasn’t liked it significantly more than the best chippy in the uk, my local chippy is attached on the marina, it’s joint owned by like 40 commercial fisherman in my city, we have award winning produce, most of the fish gets shipped to Sydney first thing in the morning and sold at the fish market for like 3x the price. Trust, Australia by far is the best

I'd be interested in what you think of tikka masala as it was adapted for British tastes (I'm not keen on it, prefer vindaloo) you have to have a traditional Sunday roast with all the trimmings (restaurant is best not a carvery), steak & kidney pie or pudding, cottage or shepards pie (not really a pie), Lancashire hotpot, skink (Scottish fish soup it's so good), a full English (not if you don't eat pork) cornish pasty, a scotch egg, bread and butter pudding, a cream tea is nice but expensive.. I agree with the person above, Jamaican food is so good.
