same i work with epoxy and my big brother really hyped the stuff that i make and sometimes when i pour i let him make a few things with leftover resin and he is like " I WILL USE ALL THE GLITTER AND ALL THE PIGMENTS !!!!" and i am sitting there " jep ....i will have this microglitter in my molds for the forseeable future. nonono just pour it in , it will be fine....yes you can use alcohol ink , just dont pour too mu....no , thats fine. i will make it work" my favorite was when he just poured glitter in the mold and shook it , like you do with a muffin form that you grease and pour a bit of flour in it to coat it xD

The kit comes with Apoxy sculpt, as well. You can mix a little of that and use it as "glue" instead of running the painted piece through the oven. Just another possible way of doing things. :)
@singingwolf89973 жыл бұрын

#Sika did it her way and that's what most people will do, have a plan in their head and work to it. It looked fantastic. Some people will not even look at the instructions. It's okay, Jackie. I'm such a bad backseat crafter that my mom will start little projects RELYING on the fact that eventually I'll take over and do it for her. She doesn't actually want to MAKE the crafts 99 times out of 100, only wants the finished product, so she just gives it her best attempt and waits for me to get frustrated enough by her doing it badly to step in. xD And even though I know that's what she's doing, it works EVERY TIME.

The way Sika craft reminds me of piecing pre-made figurines together which each part is painted separately. Probably the reason why I don’t find it weird and unusual when she suggested that. xD Also you don’t have to worry about painting other parts accidentally or not being able to paint certain spots if u paint before glueing them together. Really enjoying the kits related vids and the kit itself seems very fun. :)

I’m so excited for my box. My nephew and I are going to make an army of gardeners for our rainbow garden.

I love the way Sika thinks & that she’s doing all this stuff NOT the way it was intended because tons of us will be doing it that way and she was successful!! How freakin adorable is Deadberry?!? Yes I’ve renamed him lol

As I'm watching, I have to comment. I so understand Sika's thought processes. Honestly, I think that's how I would also have approached the added details. Now continuing to watch at the 17 minute mark. Ok. I love how it turned out. Too cute and quirky. Jackie, (if you happen to read this) do you still think the pieces should be attached before baking? Doing it like you would typically would? Or was Sika's way also fine? Did they adhere with no issues? Lol! Apparently, I also ask too many questions. 😁😁😬

Agree, but as long as it doesn't stress them both out too much. 🙂

Technically there's nothing wrong with sculpting the way Sika did, I wouldn't even call it 'special'- you just need to make sure that before you let things dry that you place them **on** the sculpture where you want it to go so that it can take the form of the piece underneath it. That way you get more surface area for the glue and there's better chance it will stick.

Sika, the Pool Man would SO approve of this!! Your little...um...critter? Mutant Strawberry? Thing is absolutely ADORABLE!!!! And it was really nice to see a...non-typical crafting approach to the project! Confession? I'm a backseat crafter too, but I would totally work on a craft with either or both of you any day of the week! This kit really looks fantastic and I can't wait to personally try everything out myself when it arrives! *+bat applause+*

@@nerdecrafter You need to add the tag line to this craft kit: "Sika tested, Sika approved." :D

It would have been cute if you included a cute little Salt Shaker in your craft kit. As well as a tiny funnel.

If you go watch Ace of Clay’s video, there is a funnel in his box. Jackie’s box was probably a prototype box.

I feel like it might be easier to get a clean pour by dumping the plaster back into the measuring cup? Other than that adorable video! Watching Jackie and Sika bicker was fun and enlightening. I kind of want to do this project with my mom if she's interested (she might not be) but she has no idea I spent so much money for to kit... o.o I'm wondering if I can make little human characters from my favorite anime 🤔 I don't thing my skills will be up to it since I've never used clay before but I want to try
