Having done sequin pinning for a while, you don't want just any foam, unless you have foam glue on hand. It's the compressed foam you want (the stuff the mannequin heads are usually made of).

Hey Jackie I have a craft kit for you to try! When I was at Kmart I picked out a Christmas present for my niece called a ‘Harry potter paint your own plaster set’. I was wondering if you could try it out. The main thing that caught my eye was in the trailer ad thing when I searched up ‘Harry potter paint your own plaster review’. The video showed some scrappy looking paint and then jump cuts to paint colours and textures that look nothing like the ones the people were painting. the first kit is bascially a 'child' version of the hobby my great grandmother used to do. She got foam animals (like dogs, kats..) and with pins and sequins she used to fill them in. I can remember them being very pretty.

My mom and I back when she was alive would go to a craft store buy a package of sequins, some push pins, styrofoam balls, and some Elmer's glue and make the prettiest Christmas decorations and would spend maybe 20 bucks and be able to make 20 or 30. If you buy some eyes and some cutesy stuff you could make something really neat. I still make them now but I also use beads.
