Pretty sure due to the Pacific Hunter dlcs. And the new levels in Berlin, and Normandy. Other axis mains went there to grind. So Japan Axis right now is quite the low population.

Not usually, but during events and updates I've noticed it suddenly gets really hard. For this one, I suspect it is the people that have been grinding hard want to test out their hard-earned planes. F5P takes a fair bit longer to unlock than the A6M3, so I am guessing that it is mostly because it's a lot of devoted, practiced players on the US team right now, and on the Japan team there's still some quality players, but not to the same degree. Mostly I noticed because I usually play the D3A Val a lot. All of a sudden every game I got into had an F5P on the other team, so yeah I think it is just the fans playing really hard and really practiced all playing US. Usually I have a fairly easy time as the Japanese, with an occasional upset.

Me Playing Munda Port most of times I used Type Otsu Rifle because of recoil and Type 4 Rifle and Type 100 Late was a OP gun I used Mostly Assault Squad when I play I Hope They Add Type 99 LMG which is Good Lmg for Japan

Alot of times its not AI. That delay esp on a low function PC comes with an FPS drop. I have been gunned down one at a time due to this as I set my squad to be wide in formation wile running through an open area. Its esp bad when they pick off the player controlled squad member as soon as you get control.

ive been playing for about a week or so and i have 68% win rate as japan , and i found that most american teams on br 1 and 2 are just horrific and mostly rely on their vehicles , ocasionaly you get godlike teams on their side but not often enough , while the japanese teams are somewhat braindead cause nobody uses anti tank rifles which is what ends up losing a lot of games
