As a kid i made a pb and tomato sangwitch once, and it was amazing. The watery acidic tomato and the flat gummy pb combine to balance one another out. Plenty of texture, plenty of flavor. Also cashews crushed with diced tomatoes with italian dressing is a great combo mix. I sound like president of tomato fanclub.

Saw someone years ago online talking about "cheddar cheese and peanut butter sandwich" and I was also equally horrified and intrigued, so I did it, but I made it a sharp cheddar grilled cheese with a little natural peanut butter. I only found out about peanuts in coke a few months ago, it's an older folk thing, generally. The story I heard is that blue-collar workers would pour their peanuts into their coke so that they didn't need to use their hands to snack since they were obviously gonna get grimy while working.

I once put honey on a cheddar cheese stick and surprisingly it was pretty damn good. Makes me want to make cheesy bread and fill it with honey. The other thing I found weirdly good together was funyons and a fortune cookie. It was a weird but good taste. The cheese stick and honey was more of a flavor you expect but the funyon thing was actually good. Edit: Who the is reading this comment and liking this? This is like 2am me on benadryl. One of the best weird combos I have found is peanut butter on dry candied pineapple rings. It is like the best PB&J you will ever have without the bread. Any dried fruit works, but something about the pineapple makes it the best. Dipping raw carrot in peanut butter is an other great bread free peanut butter delivery system that can be done on the cheap. It isn't quite a good as the pineapple/peanut butter combo, but I lived on it in college because I could get a 10lb bag of carrots for $3 meaning I found creative ways to insert carrots into everything. Also pickles and peanut butter are a surprisingly good. You should just bit the bullet and do a peanut butter on everything show, we all like watching "gross" food tastings.

This was hilarious and I love that you can admit when you find something unexpectedly great. Peanut's such a good savory choice - it's used in sauces all the time. And if you put half a teaspoon of soy sauce in a caramel, you get salted caramel but with a bit of depth. Real talk I had a colleague tell me "jelly and cheese sandwiches are good. You just have to use good jelly and cheese." That's a heck of a qualifier.
