Y’all it really doesn’t matter how a celebrity “seems”. That’s the the point. You don’t know them. Period. And you probably never will. It’s best not to have any kind of para social relationships at all. Consume the content you like and then move on, don’t stick around and endlessly stroke the persons ego. That’s how you help create monsters.

Same, I am a sensitivity reader and the worst I could find was him ( recording Dr) using I must have a bit of aspergers kicking around in me, and he has a non binary child and there is stong links to autism in that and autism has strong genetic links. So it would make sense he has openly talked about constantly putting his foot in it so makes sense, but he would just be on the spectrum as a set is large and noisy. He also has named his kids sensible if old fashioned names but are classic. Love his wife being a happy internet troll but don't support her filming her family without consent
@Reicha6 ай бұрын
@@annieinwonderland And as an asperger, personally, I think using "aspergers" or "adhd" about yourself or someone else to describe when you're exhibiting *actual traits* isn't... a bad thing? Especially traits that aren't inherently bad. If he'd insulted someone and said that? Ooof. Just like if he'd punched someone and went "guess I have some ADHD". One of those "I just twisted what this diagnosis means by treating one of the most negative manifestations of what it, combined with stressors and an individual's other traits, can lead to as an inherent trait" comments that when people keep doing it paints a bad picture for all of us. To me there's a line between normalisation, de-stigmatising, of neurodivergence and making it a throw-away- or curse-word. After all, (as far as we currently know) it is a fact that, autism/aspergers if not ADHD, is a collection of traits. So you very much *can* have "a bit of aspergers kicking around in you". If you have an autistic person in the family then the rest of the family definitely have traits. Then the person with enough of it to be hindered in daily life and thus being eligible for diagnosis will have _all_ those traits bundled up, along with a dash of something as of yet unknown (slight oxygen deficiency at birth, vitamin D deficiency in mother etc) that makes them neurologically divergent. And I don't know why even bothered to start with "as an asperger", if I was going to write an essay and make it obvious anyway, lol.
@annieinwonderland6 ай бұрын
@Reicha don't stress about it but I am glad to see the debate about it and never thought about it until I saw some genuinely ask him about one of his children having a learning disorder, also when I watch some of his early content. His Dr vlogs when he was living with Arebela Weir he talks openly about over stimulating and recently they talked an having to David proff the tardis. So we have the genetics proven, him talking about over stimulation and set design being aware that he needs a giant fidget toy. So yes he does have some type of neurodiversity. I am leaning towards Adhd rather than Autism but they do go hand in hand and given how he sits and if you saw him sitting at new Ny comic con, I would also say some sort of tissue disorder. Like Eds and give how much he does on the quiet for disabled people. It pops up on his wifes instagram. I think that it's OK and on the de stigmatisation side. He is a genuinely good man. He is also the son of a minister so that would also make sense and his sister is a special education teacher so he would know. But many neurodiverse people do end up in the arts. We must also have neurodiversity as I didn't mean to make this reply this long. Forgive me if it doesn't make sense as have just taken my Eleplisy medication

Being born and still living on a popular destination island and eventually working in hospitality and then hotel-entertainment here… I can confidently say that I’ve worked with many celebrities, including a couple listed here. (I will not name any for the sake of my career) And that whole idea of “don’t meet your heroes”… IS SO GODDAMN TRUE. That whole personality you want your idols to have, is sooo rarely ever the truth. These people are weeeiiird, neurotic and will gladly shit on anyone that is serving them in any way. The best part for me of this video is the “child-naming” because it makes so much sense when you meet these people. They clearly have no genuine care for their own children. Most of them book separate tables for their kids and nannies when they go out to dinner just so they don’t have to deal with the kids and pretend they’re at least giving the kids a “fun night.” And if their children happen to act up and cause a scene at the restaurant, they immediately blame the nanny and/or waitstaff. They do nothing to solve the issue themselves as parents. They couldn’t give two shits if the children exist apart from being dick-trophies. Don’t meet your heroes. I will, of course, follow this with the fact that there are some genuine exceptions. They’re just unfortunately rare.

Reintegrate people to society! Broderick, that story’s messed up because he totally faded any consequences. But four years is a not-insignificant amount of incarcerated time. 5:20 "Man makes horrible mistake, is penalized for said mistake, gets out on good behavior, goes on to lead a successful career as an actor." That 's not someone I'd call a bad person, that's someone who fucked up royally, paid his dues, and then added to the world through art later. You left out the important detail that his theater troupe _performed in jails, churches, and schools and put on plays about the dangers and consequences of substance abuse_ Yeah, I refuse to call this man a bad person
@CyAbYa8 ай бұрын
He made the choice to get behind the wheel of a car whilst heavily drunk and killed someone, yes that is a definition of a bad person, he may have paid for it and done theater whilst in prison, a famiky or families was ruined because if his bad, selfish, illegal and beyond stupid choice. Hes evil and I loved watching TSLOZ&C growing up but it is like Tweener from Prison Break he also killed someone in a drink driving crash, he is the same, a fucking moron who made the choice to drive drunk. McSkillet gets rinsed for what he did the 2 differences is he was sober and he also died, the others lived while the victims of their stupid choices have to live on through loved ones.

I’m not convinced. He goes on to make a successful career but is he still the same person as before? Or did he genuinely show remorse and improved himself as a person. Because only one of those makes someone a good person.

Unfortunately in a lot of cases fame comes as a package deal with successful career. Maybe some people just want to do their job and enjoy it and then become famous because of it even if they don't want. Also some jobs require to be famous/recognizable to archive their goal or cover expenses on that they do (i mean people like writers, politicians, singers, youtubers)
