Trying Dota 2's Most Difficult Heroes

Dota 2 has over 120 unique Heroes, some are easy to understand but others can be quite complicated.
I’m pretty new to the game. So what’s a better way to learn more than jumping into the deep end and trying Dota 2’s most complicated Heroes.
I’ve put them in order from 1 to 10, with 1 being the most difficult and 10 the easiest.
Take my opinions with a pinch of salt as I still have a lot to learn.

Io at 10 is insane tbh. Easily one of the most misunderstood hero's in Dota.

It's mostly team dependant. You can hardly make io works without your team carrying your ass. It's not hard hero but hard to win solo hero. Though some aspect really need to be carefully considered like when to channel tp and save or where to bring your team to gank. And then when to and not to use orb thing so that enemy don't see you and avoid your gank. Etc

⁠@@NoName-sx5sq You surely have no idea what you are talking about, Io is one of the hardest heroes of Dota mainly because it requires a lot of positioning, map awareness, skillshot and timing. A good Io player can carry the game as support and as a hard carry.

That was some grade A Tinker gameplay The reason why Tinker is so difficult is because his rearm resets the cooldown of all items so you buy a ton of active items on him and play like 400 apm. He has been redesigned now though but is arguably even harder as he just passively have alot of CDR so his item cooldown timings don't line up. He's an incredibly spammy hero.

​@@jordhuntssoloyou need to cancel his postcast animation of laser and ultimate by giving any order, RMB to move usually, its very imortant. Hero can be difficult to squeeze every last bit of impact in the game to make difference, but easy to get the general gist of and do your job in an advantageous game. Chen for example requires early jungling starting from about lvl 3 into early tower push with a lot of units gameplay, he's very greedy, almost as greedy as pos 3. He's not a battle unit himself, but rather a unit dispenser and amplifier.

-arc warden's ult/clone can also use skills and items -Morphling's morph to str or agi. if you morph to str you get more hp but lower damage/attackspeed and the str version of adaptive strike will stun for longer but if you morph to agi you get more damage.attackspeed and armor but lower hp and your agi adaptive strike will deal more damage. I believe morph has a facet where you can choose if you want him as an agi or str hero. -IO is actually one of the hardest supports coz he needs a lot of coordination with the team. -Chen's creeps can use skills. the one you have in the video is the hellbear smasher, he can slow enemies.

As a morphling player, I was triggered that you did not improve your 4th and 5th ability (they improve together for one point), they change your attributes to agility and strength, 5 skill to strength, 4 to agility, since morphling agility character usually we bet everything on agility and when we are hit we pump up to strength with 5 skill, Also, 2 and 3 skills depend on our attributes, 2 depends on agility, the more agility the more damage and 3 depends on strength, the more strength the more stan!

io is the kind of hero that you only play with your friend because the only hard part of it is communication tbh. Also hard agree, as a sup main earth spirit is definitely the hardest to learn.

I find meepo and arc warden harder than invoker tbh Yes invoker has 10 spells but controlling more than 1 unit is harder in my opinion And in the long run, mastering invoker takes more time than the other two heroes I mentioned

i got good at Invo and ES pretty quickly that are top 2 heroes in your list but can not for crying out loud play characters like Meepo or Arc Warden no matter how hard i try Managing multiple units is practically impossible for me

Tab, Tab, Tab. Select a hotkey for all controlled units and all controlled units including yourself. Most of the time you just have to select everything and tab tab tab. No need for control groups but those are helpful too. Personally I can play Chen, Brew, Meepo and Arc. But Invoker, Tinker and Earth Spirit is a bit of a stretch for me. OH. RIP TINKER. I feel bad for him.

@@daghetto101 i can only play Phantom Lancer cuz he doesn't require that much effort put into micromanagment. I have hotkey for the fat illusion of doppelganger and for all units but the main hero, that's it.

when i first tried dota2 i asked my brother, which character is beginer friendly and he said "Earth spirit is kinda easy tho" (2012) so i playing ES for like 5~ 7 match?? and got the hang of how to use the stone and then he told me to use Ogre, its become such a breeze xD
