Mom knew something was wrong because I always drew "lollopop" trees. Even that young, I cried. **folks these are not that expensive** my prescription are almost $600 every year. The brain doesn't have recorded yet in its cells the new spectrum of colors he sees. The more he looks, the more and more the new colors are imprinted into his brain. It is like a new born baby brain that makes contact with something completely new, colors, tastes, sounds, smells, etc.

@@tubadylan Wow, that is extremely interesting information! So the brain is somehow able to recalibrate what the colors should be now that you have seen what they 'should' look like. That is my worst pet hate when people keep asking what colour is this what colour is this? They don't know how to express the colour all the name they have been calling colours different names because they thought that pink was grey and so on and now they are seeing you colours which they have no name for so it's useless asking them what colour is this is better to ask them to compare colours to what they used to see before say for example have a blue balloon and say point to something that used to look like this colour before you wore the glasses etc It's great to finally see a video where the person is allowed to explore on their own the new colours that they are seeing I was looking for something like this for a long time where they are left on their own to just move around and discover what we all see and let them express it in their own way. It was great to follow this short journey

@@tubadylan Thanks for your answer. Great to hear. Many should maybe remember that this was not invented due to intense research into colorblindness but was discovered as a derivate of other ground research made previously. Universities and state sponsored ground research, into whatever, often turn out to deliver results that eventually will cause many different inventions in the private sector. It is pretty sad that only we in the Western world are getting acces to these glasses. Any colorblind child should grow up with acces to these no matter where they are born. I am so happy for the lasting lift of life quality you have gained. I really looked for some long term responses on the usage without finding any, so thanks for your answer and time!

They typically can't differentiate between red and green much. Those seem to look more brown to them. But they know red is red they just don't know what it actually looks like. Red apparently looks more like a mustard brown and green looks beige or something. Here is a link that shows it: www.color-blindness.com/deuteranopia-red-green-color-blindness/
