5’5” and 90 lbs??? With those values, your calculated BMI is just below 15 - the threshold for “starvation”. That comment caught my attention because I’m 5’3” and weigh around 90 lbs. I’ve lost weight due to a medical issue (but an eating disorder - I do not want to be this thin at all) and at my current weight and height, I look TOO THIN. I look unhealthy, I hate it, EVERYONE makes comments, and I fit into adult sizes NOWHERE at all. I fit Target kids jeans size 10. I can’t seem to gain weight regardless of what I try. Hearing someone say that they’re 2 inches taller than myself, and the same weight -they would be nearing the brink of organ failure, serious life threatening issues and would appear like a literal skeleton with skin draped over (think a bit less thin than Eugenia Cooney who’s 5’7” and around 90lbs). Moreover, they wouldn’t kind of fit into an XS woman’s size dress, particularly one that shows off curves - that a 5’5” 90lb woman would have absolutely none of. That pink chain mail dress would look terrible on me - and on someone even thinner - really really unappealing. What’s my point? I dunno - I just heard the comment with the reviewers supposed height and weight, and had to call BS on it. Either she’s mistaken about what the scale says, isn’t mistaken and is extremely extremely nearing Eugenia’s appearance as appallingly thin, and somewhat fits the pink dress - which makes all the above even more confusing.

I am 5’3 and live in AZ. I was always the shortest in all my classes. Finding adult clothes that fit how they should is incredibly difficult. While 5’4 may be the average, clothes are not made to fit a woman who is 5’4.

I've come to the conclusion that when you are short and small, shop in juniors or children's. Sexy adult clothes were made for curves you have to pay for. Also heels. Size L to XL in children's is XS to S in adult. Junior sizes are in odd numbers, for me a size 2 womens, juniors a size 3 fits best. A little conversion for those who are also built like a door. Knowing your measurements and shopping online exclusively by your measurements works really well too.
