I struggle to get my HIMI gouaches to be opaque and I don’t know if it’s my technique or the paint. Did you struggle more than usual with this paint’s opacity?

Yes, I find that HIMI gouache is less opaque than others. I adjusted the techniques a bit when I used them (used less water, left out the white area instead of layering them, etc.). Essential if you go in expecting the paints to be only semi opaque and use more of watercolor techniques instead then it'll be ok 😊. If you like opaque paints, I suggest giving acryla gouache or acrylic a shot
