This is still my fav vid. Everything about it the ferry the room the interior especially the Greek interior of the ferry the length of journey facilities etc fab entertainment but I think it's the peace and tranquility the pace of the voyage you're no rushed like other journeys get onboard get to sleep wake up disembark it's a mini cruise I'd stay on a week back and fro hehe. I must have watched this about 10x at least and keep coming back. The overall beauty of Ishikari the interior especially the blue and white and the men's grand bathroom art. I wonder what is depicted on the walls of the ladies bath. I even googled it lol nowhere does it show the ladies grand bathroom I wonder if it's Athena you'll just need to ask a lady to picture it next time you're on board or I'll do it if by some miracle I ever make it lol. Again thanks for the hurl xx.

I would like to help you with ship terminology. At the 8:20 mark, "They are casting off from the Bollards". They do not hoist up the ropes, this is called, "Taking in" or "Taking out" the mooring lines. At the 8:30 mark, you should have said, "Ferry takes up the mooring lines". Thank you for sharing about the Japanese ferry service.

@capsulejapan Жыл бұрын
@juuuwi Жыл бұрын

@capsulejapan Жыл бұрын

Pets are allowed on board with you, but must be kept in a cage when moving around the ship. Pets may only play in areas reserved for pets. Have a great ferry trip with your pet!😸

I'm curious do people just go on these ferry rides for a little vacation or is there a big demand for travel... Is it mostly tourists or citizens of Japan who just go take a weekend off?

Ferries are cheaper than trains and airplanes, and you can lie down and rest your body. Of course, there are luxurious cabins. The purpose of the trip varies, but the common denominator is that all passengers have plenty of time to spare.😊

40 hours the longest? I watched a video that was 48 hours and said longest ferry ride in Japan.

Hey...this is the same ferry with Restaurant Santorini...only it went south.

This is the ferry with the longest voyage time on regular Japanese liner routes. This vessel makes a round trip between Nagoya and Tomakomai. Tomakomai is northbound from Nagoya. Tomakomai to Nagoya is southbound. The name of the restaurant on board is Santorini. Thank you very much!😸
