A little info from the internet: Pizza was discontinued in most McDonald's restaurants by the year 2000. The reason for eliminating the pizza from the menu was that the time to cook a pizza took 11 minutes, and McDonald's wanted to keep its reputation for fast service. As of 2021, McDonald's pizza is only available at McDonald's located in Orlando, Florida.

The pizza shown here isn’t actual McDonald’s pizza. My Grandma lived in the town at the WV location that served pizza until 2017 and it was just a cheese pizza, but it was full sized and they used the diced onions they use for sandwiches as a topping. It was honestly really good.

We had McPizza sometime in 1990-92 when I worked at McDonald's in Ohio. We also had spaghetti and lasagna. It was their Italian menu promo.

If I’m remembering right, McDonald’s used to have a combo with a personal pizza, fries, and a drink. My mom used to bribe me into going to get groceries with her by promising we could get some McDonald’s pizza after. Loved the video; brought back some memories!

@Maraline Kozial yes it was a very hard time for us to and definitely get sad thinking about it. For us it was the better option that doing the hour journey there and back everyday with how critical our boys born at 24 weeks were. Forever grateful for the place (we are in the uk)

We stopped into this Mcdonalds WAYYY back in 2001 and they actually had chefs in this location making all sorts of fancy fare, pizza was one of the items but they also had many other items available which for mcdonalds was just so rare! And the arcade had a much better selection of games back then as the ticket craze was just starting to rear it's head. Love the content as always ATW! STAY BLESSED!

It has been there forever! I used to work at another McD's nearby and they always called us in to help out at this store. Back then (in the late 70s) it was the busiest one in the US. The store I worked at had a basement. Only two stores in FL had one, the other one being in Jacksonville.

Every time we've eaten inside, I've had the timeshare vultures try and get us to take a "short detour" when we leave to check out their resort and get some free tickets or something after a short presentation...Of course they don't like to take no for an answer either. I like that he is. Restaurant workers are usually treated very poorly so this was nice to see. I managed restaurants for many years and I will tell you that dealing with the public is EXTREMELY hard. People tend look down on you and treat you like garbage. I hope I never have to back to the restaurant industry again.

I had my son’s 9th birthday party back in 2012 when it had the “flare” and it was amazing. By the looks of it, the inside changed also. All the kids got to even dance with Grimace and Ronald on the lil birthday stage they had in the party area on the first floor. Mac Tonight used to be downstairs in the corner and turn on and off too. There were tables set up there and it would play a song move a lil bit then turn off lol. The outside looks depressing compared to how it looked before. This place is a shell of its former self.

My McDonald’s at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa (Now sadly Din Tai Fung) had pizza and hot dogs in the 90s. It was across from Planet Hollywood Santa Ana which is now a Morton’s. The McDonald’s also had broccoli cheese soup if you can believe that.

As a 16 year old I worked at McDonald's back in the late 90s when they still had mcpizza and I can tell you they were very tasty, I remember making them for myself at the end of my shift and adding extra oil that was spread on top of the pizza before going into the oven, very high in calories but very enjoyable at the same time.
