I LOVE the Solo cabin/Solo Studio Lounge Concept. I've sailed twice (Encore and Escape) and am booked for the Viva and Bliss later this year.

Sounds like NCL is the cruiseline for Solos. My only issue would be there should be Windows in rhe Solo Lounge.

There can't be a window in the Solo lounge because it's in the middle of the ship. I love cruising NCL as a Solo traveler. I've made friends from all over the world. It's great!

I love the NCL solo inside cabins. So much more usable space than you’d expect. Last cruise I was traveling at Xmas with family on the Encore the kids (8 yo) really, really wanted a room like mine. 😂 I can’t wait to try out the other new solo categories.

You are such a handsome guy. I see your videos have switched gears since the last time I watched I also used to work on cruise ships, as you did too, in fact I did two NCL ships back in the day. Mainly worked on Princess Cruises ships. Those solo cabins look pretty good and that lounge is almost to much to ask for. Some of the cruise lines occasionally offer reduced solo occupancy surcharge and there is a travel website that one can view to find deals like that. I'm glad I found your channel again.

This is very interesting as l never thought cruising was suitable for single or solo people. As it seems to be very lonely for, singles hence l even might consider to one day do a cruise holiday. Thank you for the information.

Cruising is the BEST for solos. Because everyone in the shop is on holiday it's easy to meet friendly people to hang out with. Way harder to meet people if you just travel to new places on land. You're not going to strike up a conversation at a restaurant, but it's easy to do on a cruise. I met so many people, not just other solos, when I cruised solo, but also really enjoyed the solitude

No, but even the smaller ships that don't have solo cabins still have the solo meetups on every ship. So, then you just meet in a bar or another venue. They treat their solos the best. I've done a bunch of solo cruises with NCL. I'm Sapphire status. I love it.

I did my first cruise on The NCL Breakaway and it was perfect. I liked the cozy feel and the private hallway! It was super quiet and not noise at all. I was able to get in any resturant too. Haven't had an issue. My favorite was the MDRs Savoy and Taste, and loved the Manhattan restaurants. The buffet left me cold and O'Sheehan was dull to me. Other wise i had a great trip and the excursions were amazing!! It was great and will do it again.

Hey J. It does have a futuristic feel. Tight balcony. I’m 5’8 and hubby 6’1. Our knees will be rammed in the glass. But don’t spend hours on the balcony so not a dealbreaker if every cruised solo. Shows. Parties. Breakdancing. Can have a good time on Norwegian. Thanks much.

Definitely loving the concept and yay for NCL accomodating solos, really catches my attention. 🎉🎉How many cabins are serviced by the solo lounge? That solo cabin looked SUPER tight though with the shower basically in the room. And bummed they don't seem to have solo balcony cabins yet, maybe one day, lol.

did a solo room in the encore, there's a tv with outside camera instead of that window, otherwise the same room. Loved the room and its super quiet for sleeping. Wasn't the biggest fan for cloths storage, but overall, two thumbs up.

I believe the Cruise line that financially figures out the solo traveler market + couples + family/groups will when the next 2 decades. Never been on the NCL brand but they owe you some free trips because I'm definitely going due to your video. I appreciate it. Happy traveling!

I loved my Solo Cabin on the NCL Escape. I found the lounge a little underwhelming but the studio cabin was great. No complaints.

I love Escape too. It's my favorite ship! I've been on it three times. Epic has the biggest and best solo lounge of all the ships, with the bartender coming in, but the ship needs to be refurbed now. I just was on it for the third time in December 2023. I will wait until 2025 after the refurb to go back on it again. 🤗

I’ve sailed on the Norwegian encore as a solo in the studio, and I loved it. I’ve sailed twice on the escape as well both times and studios once was an amazing experience. The second was extremely disappointing. The host on the disappointing cruise was lame and clearly did not want the position. In my opinion, the encore is a better ship than the escape.

What’s the deal with NCL not giving PAX outlets EVERYWHERE in the room? Was just on the Pearl for an 11 day (WAY too long) last December and hardly any outlets. Phones, CPAP, laptops, hearing aids for some, on and on…WTF.

No, not really. Not a lot of younger people that are hanging out with the solo group meet-ups and activities. Sometimes a few and they're usually really great. In fact, the average age group for the meetups is 45+ to 60. There are some other people that are Solo in the cabins that are extras with family members in larger cabins, or they just want to be alone, but the solo wing inside, you have to key in, is so great and quiet, that you don't see those people a lot, except passing them in the hallway. You don't have to see anyone or you can go to the solo meetups, any day. Meetups are before dinner time. We go to dinner, activities...It's so much! I've made friends from all over the world and also frequently travel with a friend that I met on one of the solo cruises too. I've done about 14 cruises with NCL, all as a Solo traveler. I am Sapphire status now and then you get even more good perks. Plus, the beverage package NCL has is the best in the business. If you're thinking about trying it, you should! Escape is my favorite ship. It used to be Epic, which still has the best solo lounge of all the ships. I've been on it three times, but my last one in December 2023, I just felt the ship needed to be refurbed. I will wait until after the refurb in 2025 to go back again on that one. I have been on Escape three times too. Love it!🛳️🍹😊

I really enjoy Norwegian solo meetings, however, I am done with Norwegian. I am a platinum latitude member with Norwegian. I asked for the Price Drop credits or a cabin up grade! Five times NCL refused to honor its Price Drop. On the last Cruise they gave Cameron $700. I refuse to allow NCL to discriminate and abuse me anymore! Not Cool!
