I have to share something with you. My 22 year old son, who hasn’t lived with me since August of 2020, and I were talking on the phone last night. And he asked me “how is that hilarious woman who talked about us being hot garbage? I miss when we used to watch her together”. Aaaah!!!! He and I spent a lot of his senior year of high school, watching your videos together. He wasn’t particularly interested in makeup. But absolutely loved you!!!! And still does. Just wanted to share❤

I find the Viseart palettes great for packing. Even if you take 5 or 6 palettes with you, they are small. But I usually pack my custom basic bitch palette & a palette of special shades. (Sydney Grace & Terra Moons) That is usually enough. I don't have multiple highlighters so that's easy & I don't really wear more than 2 diff blush shades. Same for lippies. I find my hair products & skincare the most challenging to pack since not everything can be decanted into a travel size container (mousse & pump moisturizer) & I always take my fullsize hairdryer & diffuser. Also have meds & medical devices/mobility aids to contend with now. It's a lot. When I was in my 20s/30s I could literally throw everything I needed for a weekend trip in a large tote bag. I miss those low maintenence days...

I wanted to say something when I watched you packing, but I knew you wouldn't care so I shut up. I used to travel for work (and I still do sometimes). All I bring with me is a good concealer that I use as foundation, the mini ND Nude eyeshadow palette, a very good mascara (Lancome or Benefit), two or three multipurpose pencils and a few lipsticks in my handbag. Because I don't travel to do my makeup, but to work. Or meet people. I have another bag for my skincare and my hairdryer. The heaviest items are shampoos, shower gels and conditioners, so I buy those when I arrive or I just take some from home in those little bottles if I can find them. I know you won't care, haha, but I still THANK YOU FOR OLE HENRIKSEN! Next time I travel, I'll leave everything at home, but two of those little balms are coming with me. You are one princess and I thank you so much!

Putting on the RMS blush & bronzer really makes it fab if you apply it like founder, Rose Marie Swift, applies it. She has a tutorial about her bronzer placement that's different from most & it really looks spectacular & natural applied her way. She was the MUA for the Victoria Secret Angels so she knows how to do beauty!!!

So glad you finally tried the RMS Hydra Blush and bronzer. Those are my blush and bronzer of the year. Their Kakadu Beauty Face Oil is also fabulous, along with the cream Iuminizers. I love the blush in the shade Hanky Panky, it looks amazing on fair skin, even the founder said that. The Hanky Panky with a maroon shirt, which is such a great color on you, and the Viseart Cashmerie Étendu palette would be a super flattering combination.

I have been so conflicted about this release. Milly is amazing. Clionadh is amazing. I was really underwhelmed with the swatches tho...they just looked...like nothing special? It didn't make much sense. I really appreciate your review because I know you're going to be straight as to whether it's good or not.

The swatches aren't very telling with this palette. The formula is very thin & smooth yet extremely sparkly & shifty. I'm extremely bias because Milly is a friend & was lovely enough to send me the palette & eye primer. I have to say, as a long time fan of Clionadh, the formula of the palette is fantastic. Super pretty without being ott if that makes sense. Like, the multichromes for those of us who like wearing multichromes to work.

Packing tip from a fellow I want to take everything including my neighbor’s kitchen sink for san diego comic con I pick out my outfits first and then bring the make up that support those outfits in the fewest palettes/singles as possible. I also pick one type of face make up (powder bc it travels better in extreme temps than liquid or cream).

If you’re trying to be more compact, the multichrome palette actually makes a lot of sense. It’s small, it has work appropriate moments as you said, but it also takes care of your highlight moments. With the Viseart palette (so much prettier tones than the Mario palette for some reason, I think), you’re kinda covered for being basic AND extra . Then the Dior stick bronzer/contour, one of those gorgeous What’s Up blushes, and a nude-y pinky peachy lip color and a gloss. Also the Tarte powder. And the NARS foundation… Yeah, I’m not being helpful am I?

I am sure that if you just packed the Mario and Viseart eyeshadows it would still be less than you packed. I loved laughing at your packing and remembering having to cut my makeup/skincare for a trip where I was not checking baggage, just my carry-on. It was an adventure to get it down to the basics. I love my Vise Art Entendue Deux in Violet, Amalie quads and 8 tiny pans and so cute. All I need is a bit. The Coral pink is stunning in the Petit Pro Deux. 😂❤😊 Also had a visit to my doctors.
