Glad that she found a way to blend her foundation and concealer well to make it look like her head is not floating on her body. Using the foundation that matches the neck and body is very basic. But with her skin condition it takes more than that. And she achieved a great result by experimenting on foundation and concealer

I’m learning that hydration is my friend. And powder before foundation has become my fave technique to keep the shine down and looking fresh all day. Brightening the under eyes? YES! So much validation here but still learning! Also they put a Kobe commercial as one of your ads. Thankfully I wasn’t wearing mascara. Mamba forever.

alicia kowalski when you have oily skin, the powder acts like a place holder to keep your foundation from sliding off as you wear it through the day. I still have to do touch ups but not nearly as many as I used too. I use the MaryKay mattifying primer, then the Milk Hydrogrip primer, my setting powder, then go through the rest of my routine.

No. I'm pale af and still powder my face like crazy because I just don't like that dewy look. I jnderstand that her dark skin (and therefore her camera settings) will make it look more extreme than on a pale skin but that doesn't mean that people hate it just because of her complexion.

Im as white as they come (literally couldn't be any paler if i tried) and i have to say, i love watching your videos. It has opened my eyes to how unfair the beauty community has been to women of color (i think a lot of brands are moving in the right direction, but many are still lacking in inclusivity). And ive learned a lot as far as the differences in how black women have to apply makeup, how important the right undertone is, how certain products wont show up at all, etc. Its truly a whole new world of makeup. The black community is lucky to have your channel, youre truly a great resource for others struggling to find the right color/brand for them. Hey Nyma, love this look. I love how your skin still looks like skin - after all the products. I use only a few products and hate when more products keep coming in to add more layers to my routine. 8 months ago, I was like wtf is bronzer - but then I liked the warmth it would add back to my face - especially with some of the tones some of these foundations be having. But honestly I find that if I have a warm (right) shade foundation - I'm good without bronzing so much. (LOL - I've been bronzing with Mac's blush Film Noir with a hit of Raizin) I tried a few bronzers and found that I could work with some blushes I already had. Also thank you for the review of the Laura Mercier powder, I have the deep one but think that the new one you mentioned may work better for me. Love Laura Mercier products because they seem simple. One last thing, I'm glad you mentioned about your skin glow/shine - because people forget how camera and lights will make skin look different on camera than in person. Keep Shining you are a star!!!
