Update: I made it to bed and _then_ it hit. Thankfully when that happens, I usually stay in bed and drift off and then wake up with my brain reset. There's one noise I make though that I haven't worked out how to do in my normal state of mind which is kind of interesting given how much vocal tomfoolery I've messed around with. Probably isn't useful in a music context anyway though... Oh yeah, here's that video of Reflection by Construct: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4XGp5qfqaulhbs And here's their album, whole thing is epic, seriously check it out! constructband.bandcamp.com/album/the-deity

That must be the lupus noise. When was your last annual physical?

Sometimes when I'm walking through a store aisle or even just working around, .. a slight fragrance in the shop, something like the smell of sandalwood or even a cooking smell of bread will instantly make me recall a memory from far back, yes, this also happens to me with music, 🎶🎵I can't always recall the memory but it's almost like dejavu in my mind, I know I've lived through that fragrance or music before.

Yeah that's pretty common, scent can be powerful like that.

trying not to dissociate is like trying not to think of a purple elephant

It depends. There are strategies that work for some people, those grounding exercises etc. Although there are also strategies to not think of specific things, which are hard to do, but can work. Lol actually my brain struggles to think of a purple elephant because it's so unnatural and unfamiliar. It's harder for me not to think of the words "purple elephant" than it is for me to not think of an actual purple elephant. Whoops I rambled XD
