I like the Maybelline Dream Satin BB. It's sheer enough that the colour doesn't need to be a perfect match on me, but it also has a blur effect that hides how gigantic my pores are.

You wont believe this. I spent most of the day looking at reviews on bare minerals complexion rescue. And then get a notification for this. NOW, I'm sold. I want a good bb cream and am a bare minerals ride or die lol. But wanted something I could also use as a base, with their other foundations when I want to go full coverage.

Oh wow, Kismit!! I love when that happens. I really love the Complexion Rescue. It's rare for me to repurchase items, as there is usually something new I want to try, but the BareMinerals and IT CC cream I've both bought 3 times each now.

Btw I love your channel, it is always such a treat when you post.

Hi Molly. I hope you read my comment. I just found your videos. Im desperate need to change my make-up because I'm in my late 40's and my face started to get sensitive now so i have to be careful not too put to much make-up. Im changing my makeups so went to Ulta to replace some. This was a very helpful video because that was my next thing to purchase. Sincevim older i noticed the lighter colors looks best for me because dosnt make me look older. Thanks.

I love my skin when I first use the IT Cc but around midday, my pores look horrendous and my cheek area looks dry. And I am a moisturizer fanatic. So strange. I think I need the Nars. Loved your skin!
@girlgetglamorous4 жыл бұрын
Oh no! I use the IT with a setting spray, so I haven't noticed that, it usually lasts on my all day with the spray added. But I also highly recommend the Nars. I wore it again yesterday to finish up that sample and loved how my skin looked and felt.

Really enjoyed the demos! Not sure if you have tried it, but I like the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti Aging Perfector better than the moisturizer. You have convinced me to try the it cc cream again. I'd given it up a few years ago, but with new skincare, maybe it will work better for me. Thank you so much!
@girlgetglamorous4 жыл бұрын
Hi Kathy! Thank you, I will check that out from Neutrogena! I really love the IT cosmetics CC, but it does need a moisturizer underneath, in my opinion. I just feel like all coverage products look better with a little hydration underneath!

This was a great video as I have been very confused about BB, CC, and tinted moisturizers. I’m going to try the IT brand. And you’re using a brush to apply not a beauty blender. I wonder if I should try that? Anyway thanks for being real about makeup in our forties. You rock and are so beautiful it’s not fair!
@girlgetglamorous4 жыл бұрын
Hi, Stacy! You are so nice, thank you!!! I started using foundation brushes maybe 2-3 years ago and couldn't believe how FAST it made getting ready. I'd always been a hands application person before and thought brushes seemed unnecessary. Cut to me using one and was immediately obsessed, ha! I find that I prefer the brush application with the sheer products over the beauty blender, because I get more coverage that way. I always finish my makeup by bouncing my beauty blender sprayed with setting spray over the face, because I feel like it gives my skin an airbrushed finish and sets my makeup for all day. So it's one more step to use a brush and a blender, but then I don't have to add a second layer of tinted moisturizer (because the brush absorbs less product), so it evens itself out time wise if that makes sense.

I have been using the ColourPop Pretty Fresh for about a week now. I really wanted to get away from foundations because overall I don’t need full or even medium coverage- being 37 my skin has balanced out fortunately! I have slightly uneven skin tone and a bit of redness. I love it after I let it sit on my skin for like 10 mins and find its buildable if needed.

So glad I started following you! I'm a redhead with the same skin concerns and am always trying to find the right products. I totally agree with most of these products although I've never tried "It"; now I will. I'm still waiting on my Tatcha delivery. What are your thoughts on their product line besides the one mentioned in this video?
@girlgetglamorous4 жыл бұрын
Glad to hear it's all useful! The IT CC cream is great for people with surface redness. I feel like because it has a little more pigment and covers more, I actually end up using less product overall if that makes sense. I LOVE this Tatcha primer, it's quickly become one of my must-use products. I prefer it to their original primer actually. Those are the only two things I have used from the line so far. If I try more I'll update here and on the blog. What did you get from them?
@francesp35214 жыл бұрын
@@girlgetglamorous I've ordered the starter ritual kit "Indigo" because it's supposed to help with that surface redness you mentioned and sensitivity which I sometimes have. I've also ordered the lip mask because I've yet to find anything I love for my lips; although that product doesn't have the high praises the others do.

Do you always apply your typical skincare under products like these? For instance, do you always apply your regular moisturizer under a tinted moisturizer? I’d also be curious to know your thoughts on the new Clinique moisture surge tint and the nyx bare with me....wondering how those stack up to these products for you.
@girlgetglamorous4 жыл бұрын
britt-tastic hi Britt! I will try to pick those two up for the next video. 👍🏼 I do always wear my skincare under any makeup, even tinted moisturizer. My daily face lotion is so light that it doesn’t really add any weight and I feel like all my coverage products look better with it underneath. But each to their own! I know some people prefer tinted moisturizers on their own for the simplicity. I just prefer a little extra moisture for my skin 😊

Hi Molly!! I have the bare minerals complexion rescue too. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but everytime that I cream myself with it, this little things like crumbles, come out. Maybe I am rubbing in a wrong way or maybe is the cream that I am using or that I shouldn’t wear primer with it...and I hate that!! It is like I am exfoliating with it and all the dirt comes out, you know? Hope I made myself clear 😂 thanks and I would appreciate your help! Xoxox greetings from Germany

Cc cream stands for color correcting and should not be like a medium or full coverage foundation. It’s supposed to give an even tone to the skin and not cover everything. In my opinion many of the beauty brands have been wrong with this.

Hi Molly! Thank you for your helpful content & especially the close-ups. I did have a question for your re the Bare Minerals product. When I apply it to my face, it settles into my pores so I end up polka-dotted. :) Do you have any suggestions to prevent this from happening? Thank you! ♥
@girlgetglamorous4 жыл бұрын
Hi! Is the shade you are using a little light on you? I've noticed this happens sometimes if I'm using a concealer or foundation that is just a smidge too light. Do you wear a separate moisturizer underneath? Or the Complexion Rescue right on your skin?

I use this Hourglass one, I apply it in the concealer tutorial if you want to see how it looks on!
