I think you misunderstood the main pawn system, your main pawn stays with you always but your other 2 pawns will be switched in and out depending on what you need

Games been great so far 60 hours in and still haven’t finished it. The gameplay is what carries this game optimization is an issue in the cities however you don’t really do any combat at all so it doesn’t hurt it really all that much. The micros do suck and shouldn’t be in the game but it in no way actually hurts the game you can earn literally everything in game without issue.

@@ridonedo yeah if you only rush the main story quests do the side quests explore and try evocations main story alone and nothing else is 30 hours by it’s self. Play enjoy the game don’t rush it and try to min max everything like every other game.

Never played any dragons dogma that was released. I picked this up after watching asmondgold play it. It may have mixed reviews on Steam, but this is now my favorite game to play. I quit playing mmos recently, and this is a great replacement.

Dd1 was just sooo good. This one does a lot of things better but has occasional things I prefer in the original. Hoping we get an expansion w Bitterblack like in 1. Bitterblack Isle is like a nightmarish area out deep into the sea. They mention it in dd2. Just not by name. They talk about a strange land off in the distance. Its hard mode w the actual end game boss.

Your character just has too much weight and momentum to them in DD2, so controlling your character feels like Gerald from Witcher 3. Just clunky. DD1 was responsive and snappy.

It seems ya'll don't really understand the lore of dragons dogma. This is not the same game or remake, even if they did not add a whole lot of new stuff. This is set after the previous game. But the Dragon and the Arisen is like a loop system where the Dragon always respawns after a certain time period and chooses an Arisen who is then on a quest to kill the Dragon. Also the Arisen is suppose to replace the previous Arisen as some sort of godlike entity overwatching the world and making sure the loop continues. Though, from what I heard about this game, its not only about killing the dragon but endng the loop as well. So we shall see. There is also some weird but interesting lore regarding the pawns, such as your main pawn pretty much turning into your main character at the end and becoming an actual human being and lives a normal life looking just like the Arisen.

In that aspect its more of a soft reboot,but the game its totally a sequel,first one talked about infinite multiple worlds existing at the same time,an npc on harve village talks about another world but people think hes insane,DD2 is totally a parallel version of DD1,vernsworth looks like a bigger and safer gran soren if you look at the architecture from the outside and the land it self has some similarities with the land of gransys,i mean the prologue in DD2 takes place in blue moon tower from DD1.

All the things you hated about the first game are back in this one 😂. I like the combat and story however there are some missions where you literally wander around an area trying to find the next mission path. Finding good pawns for your party is very challenging. Most, if not all of them are underpowered, their weapons and armor are hardly ever upgraded. You can tell the game devs were like “you will explore this world whether you want to or not”. Give me a horse at least 😂 it’s ridiculous.

Same enemies as the 1st game, but their AI seems worse. Bosses wander around confused & barely attack. The combat is slower & less fluid. They stripped the equipment system down. The map is a giant maze & the UI makes it a chore to keep track of your location. They didn't completely ruin it, but at the same time they kind of did.

They need to make an app that you can take a photo of your face and send it into the character creator and it instantly creates a near to realistic face for you to use on your character. Then all games could just use the same gif /jpg for games. Save us all hours of pointless attempts to replicate ourselves. The fact is we never see ourselves as we really are. Though I have to say I enjoy making really stupid characters to use. Ff7 is a great story game but for me I stopped halfway when DD2 dropped because everytime. I did the story it locked progression behind mini games I didn’t always want to play. The micro transactions are not predatory in this game. Capcom is only taking advantage of lazy players so I am ok with that. Capcom had warned players that their products on the online store can be acquired in game. There is no feature that is blocked by a paywall nor difficulty curve {Like Middle Earth Shadow of War), no loot boxes or "surprise mechanics" (like any EA game), the online store for Dragon's Dogma 2 is not intrusive, most of the store items can only be purchased once unless you want to give a friend an item, all purchases are direct purchases meaning that there is no fake currency system (like Ubisofts Helix Credits for Assassin's Creed Games). While I would prefer that a single player game has no micro transactions, I am ok with Capcom making a micro transaction system that only capitalizes off of lazy people (just like they did with Devil May Cry 5 which you reviewed). So in summary the micro transactions are not intrusive and from the very beginning, when the game released, they clearly stated all items are found in game.

Its movement is almost exactly like 1..and I do believe they don’t have the option to pick a class after you got what you picked..so with one save slot you have to make a whole new game..so make sure before you get far in you like what you picked.

Nope it's great really fun and story good side story or fun but half the content is miss able main story including true end is about 40 hours ( note I did miss a good bit on side missions and exploration of second area fully) and plague is a new thing got my capital nuked so create a new game and already discovered miss side missions
