As a former QA (game tester) for a AAA gaming company, I can tell you that we do tell the devs what’s going on, the director/ execs are the main issue, their laziness/ lack of care gets old. You can tell them the same bugs, and see the same things on the next patch that they bring in to test.

Yep, having a base who loves the NFL and willing to buy the product (even if they think it could be better) year after year, combined with a core who will spend hundreds and up to thousands a year on MUT, means that EA will give bare minimum effort in order to maximize profits. I got into NFL around 2015, bought Madden 2016 and haven't bought one since (I have played a little on gamepass over the years). It really fucking sucks because, NFL could have an amazing game with this much money to work with and we get this sad excuse for american football "simulation".

It's interesting how the Game released with menus that took 3-5 seconds to respond. And then magically. a week later, after most people had used up their 10 hour demo, they patched it and it runs better than any Madden did before. I was on the Madden team for ten years. Funny enough, you're spot on about a lot of things, especially Franchise. Wish the game could be good, but........oh well. Blame QA all you want, but they do their job. The problem with this game is at its core, not on QA. PS: Trust me, 90% of the senior management team or lead devs do zero gaming at all. They don't listen to any feedback outside of Reddit. They don't go to KZbin except to post their own hype videos. Senior management is more likely to be watching movies/schmoozing between meetings, not improving the game. Love the yearly roasting, but I was seriously the only person on my team to watch them. They actively avoid the negative stuff outside their "influencers".

I don't feel like AJ gets enough credit for his ability to turn the most lengthy rants into some of the most coherent review scores ever. It's been a long time since I bought a madden game. The last one I bought I remember creating my own player and playing a season of football with my player. I also was able to put him through training between every week of play which increased his stats. It was pretty epic but it was along time ago and you probably can't do those things in madden now.

I remember playing All Pro Football 2k8. They had animations that tied to specific injuries. You could tell what part of the body was injured most of the time by the animation that played. There was one where the ball carrier would fall awkwardly on his arm, and it would always be an arm related injury.

When NBA 2k had the ESPN license they literally had the ESPN NBA pregame show, with actual coaches getting pre game or post game interviews with David Aldridge and actual star NBA players with their actual voices (over hundreds of them ) Also had their NBA finals pre and post game Also every player has their signature moves, taunts and mannerisms even players from the 1970s-2010s 2k used ESPN and actually has authenticity with the actual NBA and they make a tenth of what EA Madden makes and blows them out of the water

I still play it today. The more I play it the more awesome the game is. It has so much stuff Madden dont have. The one injury when the dude starts limping and grabbing his leg in the middle of the play is the one I see the most. The gang tackling looks right in all pro. The refs throwing the flag and turning the mic up to say what the penalty is. There is so much detail that Madden misses thats in a 16 year old game.

Buddy dropped dollars and instantly had a better team than me, mind you I grinded for my players, I was done after that P.S. Nothing fucking changes. A sports fan doesn't care about CRPG's, they've never even heard of DnD. They'll buy madden / FIFA / NBA every single year and purchase a new roster of players. This "putting EA to shame", what a fucking joke. If it truly mattered, EA would've bent the knee years ago if it was bad for their business, but no. They can keep rehashing the same game over and over for decades and the money just keeps flowing in, they lose absolutely nothing from people giving these games bad reviews.
