Oh I wish I could live within driving range of that store. Unfortunately I live nowhere near. How lovely that your wife was able to get those things for the birds. I definitely will try freeze dried food for my birds. Thank you for always putting out such helpful info!

I keep freeze dried in my emergency stash. I always rehydrate it a little. As a good fact to know. Freeze dried keeps up to 75%, sometimes more, of the nutrition. Where dehydrated only keeps about half of the value. Plus freeze dried can store for an extremely long time if it stays sealed. Always good to keep in case of emergency!!

My fids love both wet and dry veg. They eat the dry tea in their evening dry mix. I learned that from BirdnNerdSophie.

your wife? do you realize what an inspiration you are to so many people? What a positive role model. And what a beautiful person you are? Those are 2 very fortunate birds to have you as an owner. Also, what is the difference between freeze dried and pellets? I thought pellets were made by the freeze-dried process.

Every pellet is manufactured differently but most either use low temperature baking or cold pressing which either evaporate or squeeze the liquid out of a food to preserve it which don’t expand when digested! ❤️
