The default lighting in the game is ray tracing. That "path tracing" option just adds ray traced reflections and adds more rays for more precise bounce lighting and scattering, but the default lighting in the game is ray traced global illumination.

Having fun so far....but demanding game visually and on VRAM. Machine Games titles usually are until they get a few more patches to optimize for. But the fact a 3090 struggles at 1080p goes to show the next round of AAA games coming up need 4000 series plus to get them at 60fps with RT.

It was such a different experience than I thought it would be. They did an amazing job of capturing the tone and feel of the movies Note: Play it on hard and moderate for the best experience

I should add, I'm running a 4070 Super with Ryzen 7700. Everything is on Ultra, with full raytracing, upscaling DLSS and set to Quality, and I've limited my fps to 60 and hitting that all the time.

No clue why but switching around the dlss options back and forth from quality to balanced back to quality it corrects my fps drop. Im playing mostly on high to ultra on a 3070 ti. Its not your pc. It just has weird optimization issues. Thats 4k at 60 fps. Lmfao i also was just like holy shit its hogwarts game for people who love indiana jones

I played Indiana Jones on the big screen in the other living room with my kids. I had to pass the controller to my son because the game gave me motion sickness 🤢. Then I had to play about 10 ft back on my next try. Holay shit, I’m used to playing on my gaming monitor

I have a PC and i agree I always prefer to play on my xbox and ps5 for games if its available on there. my pc is mostly for pc only games and for my youtube edits and streaming. I mostly own a pc for everything else but gaming cause i just like the convenience of a console and i dont really care about all the crazy settings. i also always run into some sort of issue on pc and its just not worth it

It is surprisingly not terrible. Story is actually pretty interesting and Gina is actually a good companion (gets in the way during combat though). A solid 6/10 Could be higher but the enemies are bullet sponges (headshot doesn't insta kill no matter the weapon even with skill books) which bogs down combat, puzzles are far too easy with the most difficult puzzle being finding the note that gives you the code to a lockbox. The gameplay just feels really basic and bland. It is like playing Metro Exodus but the upgrades you get feel meaningless and the combat just feels awful (these guys made wolfenstein the new order, how is the combat here so awful??) AND the exploration generally speaking feels pointless excluding fascist camps where you can get skill books. Ancient artifacts as a reward suck. Also this game has made me hate dogs. Unforgivable.

Joe is insanely technologically illiterate for a guy that plays so many games. I was shaking my head when he didn't know what HDR was 😂. HDR has been widespread for several years now. DLSS is a no brainer and should be used for most PC setups when it's available.
