The soil conditioner is one of the best attachments. Love how it is used to impact the grounds! Great video...

thank you jim for a good demo video without a lot of jawjackin. we all pretty much know what we are looking at and i really like the closeups of how the conditioning tool chews up roots.

I'm unclear on what it does? Does it get rid of all the rootstock from the trees that were there?

Jim, really enjoyed this video. It's not only a lot of work to do the job, but videoing is a job in and of itself. Watching that soil conditioner work was excellent, just to see how it actually performs up close. Great job.

Thanks Craig! My girlfriend deserves a lot of the credit as she was behind the camera most of the time.

Awesome video. Thank you. My new Bobcat will be here soon, but I went with the 72 in grader. For more power reserve. It looks like this 84-inch has been serving you. Well? Thanks a lot.

Hello Jim, nice work! That looks great. I have an M8 Harley Rake. It's so great for so many things. Keep up the great videos.

Thanks! It is a great tool. I wish I had of bought one when I got the skidsteer 9 years ago.

Thinking about buying one to blow under pine needles as fire prevention. It would be for an MT100. Do you think it’s the right tool for that job?

It should work

Like so many of these videos, we are shown mostly the active rotating part. I am looking for the RESULTS of the machine. You bought it to do a job, let’s see what those results are…more of that please.

@@JimHowDigsDirt thanks for the reply back. One more question. How does the soil conditioner work in long grass that hasn't been worked in years. The neighborh figures it would just get plugged up with roots
@JimHowDigsDirt5 жыл бұрын
I never tried it but I agree, I think it would get plugged up!

I was under the impression that soil conditioners need high flow to run... but based on what I'm seeing in your video you don't have high flow. Do you find they spin fast enough? Also, do they get bogged down easy?
@jayphillips40587 жыл бұрын
I have this same model, run it off my A300. Do you find setting depth is more precise using the lift function, or going into float mode and using the tilt function? I have experimented with the float pin setting on the conditioner, and it follows contours well, but most of the time I combine a little finish grading with conditioning, so am in the fixed mode.

I think it's crazy how many people have skid steers without back up cameras. Just waiting to kill somebody I guess. You can buy a complete universal kit for ALL skid steers regardless of age where I got mine for $200 with a swivel mounting arm and everything at the website FederalMilitaryParts (dot com of course)

What's the HP and Flow on a T190? Looks like it handles the 84" drum just fine.. I'm thinking about a Harley rake, Power rake or Bobcat soil conditioner for my JohnDeere 317G 72" drum or maybe the 84"
@JimHowDigsDirt6 жыл бұрын
The T190 has 66HP and 27GPM on high flow and handles the 84" just fine. I got the 84 inch model as my machine is 72" wide and I figure I would be running over my windrows when I have it angled with the smaller unit.
@Vanbulance897 жыл бұрын
Hey Mr Jim! thanks for the video! how many hours have you put on that T190? seems like it has been a good machine for you. any major problems? I like the three wheel buggy!
@JimHowDigsDirt7 жыл бұрын
I have about 2500 hours on it now. I put tracks and sprocket on it at 1900hrs. which is normal wear and tear and I had to rebuild hydraulic drive motor which could have been costly if I had to replace it. I am very pleased with it.

Cool video man. Question..I'm trying to reclaim my yard from weeds but I need to add more organics to the soil. Can I use this machine to mix the organics to my existing sandy....clayey soil.? Id like to mix it down about 8 inches or so......
@JimHowDigsDirt6 жыл бұрын
I think you would be better of tilling it in first as this only cuts down about 4 inches.
@mjethier6 жыл бұрын
