Trying out NEW Pentel brush pen! (100 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 20)

I've always had my eye on one of these pentel brush pens ever since Kim Jung Gi kept using these and kept saying they're his favourites, so I just HAD to try one! And little did I know, it became my favourite tool in my arsenal for drawing as well!

I have some advice after watching every art video of yours up to this point. I know you already have a video on it but I really suggest spending at least 10 of these days just focusing on basic shapes and perspective as 1 day is not enough. It might sound like a long time but it really is the foundation of anything 3D. You can construct anything you want as long as you're confident with your basic shapes. It will hurt you in the long run if you don't study it early on as I can see you're not too confident in it. I also recommend flipping/mirroring your canvas in order to get a new view of whatever you're drawing, it will help with spotting mistakes and making sure things are symmetrical. Hey there taku! Thanks for the great bit of advice! I do agree with what you’ve said here, spending some more time on perspective and shapes is still something I need to keep giving a try at. I still struggle with drawing more organic forms and figuring out the proper contours that follow more complex shapes in perspective. Right now honestly though I’ve just been having a blast drawing from references and stylising drawings from photos. I definitely will go back to the basics after I’ve had a bit more fun!
