why was the gimmick puppet player not able to attack?

The continuous spell prevents the opponent from attacking a monster with 0ATK/DEF

@@khampay321 so where does the lock come in? they aren't able to attack box of friends or grandpa dimetto because of the spell and they can't be targeted either while cologne is on board, right? couldn't they just clear cologne and then remove the other 2 monsters with grinder?

⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠@@BlakeJames-r4n10 days late but here to say the effect “If you control another monster, your opponent cannot target this card with cards, effects, or for attacks.” That cologne has specifically the “or for attacks” in combination with doll happiness makes it impossible to attack as a valid attack target has to be on the field if no effect to allow direct attacks is in play
