That was a fun demo from you Dana. I've never tried an electric bike and probably never will. I do ride a conventional bike 3 or 4 days a week for fitness and errands and at 75 I still enjoy it immensely. Hope you enjoyed your ice cream on the way back to Biker Stuff HQ.

back in the 60,s I got a dutch made small wheel bicycle with a take apart frame(about where this one hinges). it had a 2 speed coaster brake and was called a HI LO. it was a great bike.

Congratulations on getting a new toy dana . It is a sweet bike . For compariaon this can be compared with a moped if you want . A great gift for some one you care . And a very nice grocery getter if a cute basket is added to the baxk rack. Also it is an executive style good looking machine made priceless by your precious touch .

Does it has a throttle, or just one speed? You seemed to be riding it 'on the brakes'. The folding aspect is very neat, I have never seen folding pedals before.

Yes it has a throttle. You can have assisted pedaling, throttle or pedals and throttle. It is very easy to ride. Half of my ride was downhill and the second half was uphill.

Please take a piece of friendly advice from a former cycling coach, when you corner left lift your left pedal and when you corner right lift your right pedal. If your pedal hits the ground (and yours were really close) the back wheel will lift and you will crash. Please be careful out there.

Is the throttle legal to use in UK? In Germany you can't have it as it would qualify as a moped then.

Once the battery is flat it still works as a regular bike. I put the battery on charge and left it overnight. I believe from flat it needs 4 hours.

You didn't do much pedaling ! My ebike only assists when pedaling. I converted my bike to ebike with a Bafang kit - you should do a conversion on your channel.

Crap range for an electric bike, plus it should be pedal assist only to be legal on British roads. Weight capacity isn't good either. I had a Raleigh modus for a month. 60 mile range, brilliant bike. I'm going to convert my existing hybrid bike with a Yose kit off eBay for less than half the price of a purpose built bike.

That is the English channel. I live on the south coast of England. The manufacturer is saying the battery life is 5 years. I think this is a standard on these type of batteries.
