Put a Fire Watch Tower where its observation range will cover the campus. University and Park zones both REQUIRE a Fire Watch tower, in conjunction with Fire Helicopter, to handle fires. Without a Fire Watch Tower, fire department won't react until the fire gets close to a road.

Commented previously that the Zoo & Nature Reserve should get a refresh so pleased you confirmed this is something you will likely do in the future! 2232 is the 200 year anniversary of the Sterling Family Zoo Grand Opening! Those areas were the first areas to set Verde Beach apart from other cities & got me invested. Looking forward to future projects & making this the best version of Verde Beach it can be! Have a great day!

Hi Phil, I've been a subscriber since Bluffside Crossing, watched every episode as they came out, good stuff. One thing about palm trees - I come form a country that has a very similar climate to VB. Super hot and humid all year long, bright blazing sun, no clouds or wind or anything. Our mayors also love putting palm trees everywhere, probably for the same reason you like it - they supposedly look nice. But when it comes to actually using these roads in a 100-110F degrees heat, they give absolutely no shade and the result is that al lthe streets are much warmer than other, shaded, streets. The sun warms up the asphalt and the concrete, and when there's no shade the head is unbearable. The end result is that no one ever walks anywhere and we all stay in our nice air conditioned cars. If Cities Skyline was anything like realy life you'd never see any of your cims walk in your beautiful palm lined streets, so please please, give your people some proper shade, plant real trees.

I wish they just made it so that you could have the pedestrian streets be functional outside of pedestrian zones, with them allowing trucks, services, and garbage in but not personal vehicles in. That's how modded pedestrian roads worked, and honestly that's how real life usually works too. The service points are neat but making them mandatory way overcomplicates everything.

would be awesome if the newest DLC included 1u (narrow) pedestrian path... it would fit perfectly to European styled cities with narrow historical streets and old buildings...
@autolykos98222 жыл бұрын
With Anarchy and Prop Line Tool, you can just put the new Plaza decals over regular paths. It's hacky and tedious though (but maybe the Asset Editor can do it).

1:36:49 i really like the new buildings, but I especially like that they adjust their base to the different terrain height and don't pull the terrain in weird ways that the vanilla building do. that looks so organic and nice. I cant wait for you to use these in future builds whether in Verde Beach or another city!

From what it sounds like from Paradox/CO they develop each DLC to be completely standalone, hence why they "cannot" add tram-monorail-hubs. I wonder if that means that they actually develop them without any of the other ones active and ignore how they interact. That would be a real shame. Even if it is more work I think they should in that case prioritize interaction between DLCs, but then also make sure that they work well on their own. While this is still one of the best DLCs, I think they could have done it so much better if they got it to work with parks and campus from the start.
@guy_autordie2 жыл бұрын
At one time, you will get some of the DLC, so it will be better to have more interactions between DLCs. Mass transit and plazas are better if we can combine them.

The plazas and ped streets will make building English cities a lot easier, as many of them have pedestrian or ped/bus only streets/areas. Usually, once they get big enough, the main high-street gets converted. Exeter for example is a good look. The top half of the high-street past the cathedral is ped/bus/service only, and it works quite well. Many busses though, so still gotta check your left n rights as you cross.

really enjoy your planned and unplanned builds.I watched the seaside resorts preview with Maddie and resorts creator , and just tried myself to make sure before I told you . I used the new library , place on dirt road then delete road and place road again with 1-2 cell from street side of building , I did one (so path width) and had no issues . So can be great for resort type builds.

Those old style police stations are nice. In the UK some old style Police Stations have dark police blue doors, guttering, drain pipes and accents, so its obvious the building is a police station without a big modern sign on it, and so the building fits in without being garish and blue all over.

At the university, you could use Roadway Hierarchy to make the pedestrian areas work the way you want to. Just treat the university paths as local roads and the new pedestrian walkways as collectors and arterials. That ought to give you enough offset to get the conflicting zoned areas to work. But you'll have to lay out your arterials and collectors first.

The Pier being a pedestrian area with some of the new plazas would be magnificent & will compliment the expo center perfectly. I reckon a few mulligans here & there would be needed. You may also have to "jump" the Hamilton Experience's main gate into the parking lot area though.

I think it would be great if you clustered all of the seaside resort buildings to make a small town on the coast - no vanilla/growable buildings around, just a very small town with beautiful buildings and maybe even a pedestrian strip. I also think it's a great opportunity for a direct ferry line from downtown Verde Beach, or an extension of an existing line in Verde Beach Edit: and of course a train connection with that wonderful train station!

I have a question that is not Cities Skylines related.... I live in Brazil but I am originally from the UK. Recently we bought a house here in Brazil (YAY), in front of what is eventually going to be developed into a park space (very excited about this). My question is, how involved can citizens get with park space plans and such before they become a pain? 😂 And how can I be a conscientious citizen but not drive my city planner insane? And also do you happen to know any city planners in Brazil that I could ask for advice? (That's way more than 1 question! Sorry! I love your channel and while I originally started watching because I love cities skylines it really got me interested in city planning in general and excited to get involved in my city! 😁) Thanks for all the amazing content! 👏👏👏

I think without creating a new city the CSPP pack is not going to show true value; having to retro fit it is a fun challenge; however, building net-new with Ped. Zones will be the more satisfying experience.

I like the livestreams, even if I can't usually watch them live. But I think your scripted/non-live videos have a bit better of a flow and are certainly more enjoyable to watch than the recorded livestreams. Don't take this as a vote against livestreams, do your thing and engage with the community, just a personal preference as someone who usually watches a single video intermitted throughout a day or watches for specific advice and inspiration.

I have 2 of the cargo distribution buildings attached to the car roads which connect to my pedestrian roads. Its all in a pedestrian district.
