You guys love your chocolate! I love Russian cuisine and candy. Because you guys use actual sugar. When most stuff here in the states is filled with a bunch of sweeter.
@OmegaEnvych5 жыл бұрын
So let's clarify some of these candies. I don't recall the first one - never happened to see it. Second one - "Коровка" - literally means "Little cow". Then we have "Щелкунчик" - a "Nutcracker" this one has a bit of waffle pieces sprinkled on top of chocolate. Then there's "Кара-Кум" - which is reference for Kara-kum desert in Asia. Candy is rock-solid and I always loved it. "Бабаевская Белочка" - "Babayev Squirrel" - I guess - it means just a city where it was made. "Bear candy" is also called a "Toed Bear". And then there's "Барбарис" - classic Soviet design rock candy that didn't changed since... I don't even know - for us they always were here, so I guess... sixties, seventies. There were some minor changes to packaging but overall it remains the same. It's not a cherry, it's actually barberry. Finally - "Снежок", or "Snowball"- yep, they have a bit of a lemon juice to add to freshness of the candy.

I live near a Russian deli that sells these sort of candies and chocolates and it is an absolute must to pick some up every time I visit along with feyoxa kompot. There's a vodka dark chocolate and it's like eating a shot, anyone who can get their hands on some should definitely give them a try

Greetings from Russia! I must say that kits like that sold here as just a very simple and cheap chocolate New Year presents. Most of them are produced from the soviet era, but they are now not the same. Most of the older people say that. They are produced still now mainly cause the brands from soviet era has still very good image in society. But for most of us now it's nothing special. I don't know if there's a chance to get some really good russian chocolate and candy for the outside.
