I've commented this before but we all know sizing is different everywhere. Which is why I really wish they would stop buying "their usual sizes" and just take their actual measurements and clevver buy according to the retailers' size charts, keeping in mind if the girls request tighter/looser fit depending on measurement range, style, length etc (go up one size if on the high end of range, go down one size with low rise, etc etc) . That's how most of us, as consumers, determine what size we are at any particular store, especially for the first time. It only seems fair to the audience, the girls and even the retailers to use each retailer's in-house size charts so we know if the items really do run true to size or not based on their actual body size according to the charts instead of what size they usually or think they wear somewhere.

This!!! I can be anywhere from an 8-14 depending on which store I buy from, so I read the size charts to make sure I get something that fits the first time.

I agree, but then again most people don't do that. they have their size and buy based off of what fits. not their true measurements. most women don't actually take the time to measure themselves, so I actually think this video is pretty accurate for the majority of consumers

I think, with these types of videos, it would be cool to start or end with you all in an example of what is perfect to you. @@tjcwheeler i wear curvy jeans and shorts bc that fixes the gap problem for the waist. I recommend trying American Eagle curvy shorts if you still want tight shorts. I like mine a little bit longer so I unroll any of the shorts that are already rolled. They also have curvy mom shorts which are supposed to be a more relaxed fit if you prefer that. I highly recommend buying their shorts or jeans when the items are on sale or are on clearance bc it can be a little expensive on its own. Side note: I recommend going in store so you can try on a couple of sizes.

I definitely suggest the Abercrombie curve love line! They have two inches of extra room in the hips and thighs for curvier girls which makes the waist more cinched. They also have it in short shorts, 4 inch shorts, and 7 inch shorts since you mentioned wanting a longer length! For the cutoff shorts like the ones they tried in the video, I recommend sizing down one size, but for the mom shorts (my absolute favorite), true to size works for me! They’re also having a sale right now if you wanted to check them out.

Maybe I'm just holding a grudge, but I would refuse to shop at Abercrombie and Fitch to this day. I remember being a tween/teen that couldn't fit into anything at that store and how awful that made me feel. I feel like they now include more sizes because its "trendy" and not because they actually support size inclusivity. Glad to see them included here in the video so we can see what they're about now, love that Clevver gives second chances!

I will say, the Wild Fable brand is typically known at Target for being the junior's brand and they do shrink! So in case anyone is now planning on going to get that brand from Target, be mindful that they are designed for the junior's section and they shrink. Hope this comment helps someone!!

I know my husband can go to a store and look at the fit and wash he wants and get in size 36, fits every time no problem, same with shirts shorts bathing suits underwear. Every time I buy anything I have to search for ages and try on lots of styles! I love poshmarl tho, I ask for measurements and usually everything fits exactly as expected! I wish womens sizes when by flat lay measurements I would be a 14-15 with at least a ten inch rise. But as is I'm a 4 to a 8 depends on wash style store and bloat!

The Wild Fable brand really varies for me depending on style. I have a pair of jeans that are a 2, shorts that are a 4.... and then I tried on another pair of shorts that I just couldn't find a good fit in so I said forget those lol. Love their styles though! 💖

Abercrombie had 12s when I went to school. I remember going to hollister with friends and being like now we havee to go to Abercrombie for my bottoms. I still to this day have a pair of shorts from Abercrombie in 2005 in a 12. Best 60 I ever spent on shorts. Still wear them every summer.

Omg THANK YOU for this video!!! I FINALLY went thrifting for some summer shorts, & normally I would have bypassed the American Eagle shorts that were on the rack because there’s NO way I’d fit into them comfortably.😫 BUT (pun intended) I remembered this video & how they looked on Jackie & Briget and I LOVED how they looked on them, so I bought them.
