I think going to school for it would be really fun, but I don’t think it’s something I would want to do for a living. I think it would take the enjoyment out of it for me. But who knows, maybe one day!

@@HeyThereImShannon as a licensed cosmetologist who prefers color and who did not get into the business very well, I can honestly say that barbering is underrated. They teach you more practical skills than state board training. If you enjoy the skin (makeup is one chapter) and nails aspect too and want to vary the services you provide, it’s great. But for anyone who can only see themselves doing hair and not facials/nails, then barbering is way more practical and it’s 500-800 hours versus 1500

When you say “ask and you shall receive” in your video to destery, it reminded me of the same scripture in the Bible.
