Lovey, to keep from being unable to find the end of the tape as soon as you cut it take it and fold just a little tiny piece of the corner. And then you'll be able to find it every time

I made that frog but used epoxy resin for both the colours. I didn't actually tape it off though.... I just let the first colour and then did the pour for the legs. Ended up looking good as the two colours merged together really well. I really like the look of that different material you have used with those. Will have to see if it's available here in Australia.

A trick I learned about tape is to fold a small bit of the tape under after you cut the piece you are using, kind of how some tape is when you first open it. The leading edge is folded under, usually with some kind of pattern on the very end. You can still find it without that part, as long as it is folded under that way.

Doing a small fold at the end of the tape has been such a time saver! I've done that for several years. If only I could get my husband to do the same thing. UGH!

ResinCrete looks like a blast, need to give it a go! Love these moulds, seen a different channel use the froggo a few times and it is SUCH a cute mould! Thank you for always being genuine and showing your failures as well as your wins, you're so humble

Steve, to easily find the end of your tape, use the plastic closure from the end of bread or other bakery items. Not the twist tie type, but the flat plastic. Works great!

Thank you for sharing these pigments with a discount code. I have been using another method of giving resincrere deep rich colors, however it does not allow for doing the marble effect. So hoping these pigments will do that for me 😊

I love them. I have been dealing with a severe contact allergy to epoxy resin so i sold most of my molds. I have my frog and a few others left, this might be an option for me. I will try it with uv resin and see how it goes. Thank you.

You are always so much fun to watch. Have you tried any other resin casting powders like Mix2mold or the one from let’s resin. If so how do they compare?

Try just turning the tape over on itself just a little after cutting it. It is so easy to find the end. It wastes a little because you will need to cut that part off before you use the new piece. But the lack of frustration is sure worth the extra effort

Cool 😎 I wondered if it would actually stick together. I've seen resin artists try to use that other stuff n it not stay. I just can't think of the name off it at the moment 🤦♀️🤷♀️

Steve, have you tried those Resin Crete colour stains mixed with your air dry clay recipe? I would be very interested in seeing how well they might colour the clay. Do you have any plans to do so, or have you already done that experiment and can point me to the video please? I love watching you experimenting with different products, and using them in different ways than what they are intended. Your videos are great, and I always get a feeling of joy when I see you've posted another one. God bless you and yours.

These turned out so neat, I especially like how the gecko turned out Do you have any tips on how to figure out how much Resincrete you will need to fill a mold? I'm not sure how to go about that since it's mixing by weight and not volume

As a kid we made carvings from a bar of soap. I wonder if a silicone mold could be made from a soap carving?
@melaniehenshaw8696 Жыл бұрын
Worth a try
@maiaallman4635 Жыл бұрын
Maybe you should make the soap carving, and then paint it with something like lard, which is not water soluble, before putting on the silicone.

EVERYONE has trouble finding the end of the tape. Fold a small corner over on the roll after you cut a piece off.
