Thank you so much!!!! I'm having a lot of fun and it makes me happy to share it with everyone too! I'm sketching sometimes when I have time but not a lot to be fair. That's also much more fun now that I only do it for myself though 😅 Thank you!!!

I could not agree more. The preparation I am always putting before a session used to be 6 to 8 hours long. Now I try to keep it as long as half an hour to an hour depending on the session complexicity. I also love to improvise and adapt every content to my taste or what my players love to do at that time. I would like to view a video of one of your campaign sessions in the future if that is technically possible and of course if you plan to do it. Another great video! Thank you

Thank you so much!!! Yes I definitely know the feeling 😅 We adjust as we go I guess! I like to always let the players do what they want, I do adjust in the moment too, I agree that it's a lot of fun too! But it still is 10 times easier this way! 😅 We don't have the equipment to record our sessions to be fair but I've learnt to never say never 😁 Not anytime soon though I'm afraid 🤷♀️

A good third of chapters can be moved to other starting locations. Running times were under 2 hours to 4 and half hours per chapter. With only two pcs, you will need sidekicks or a DMPC to help out in combat. Or adjust the combat downward. I was generally running with 5 players who either match the level of the chapter or were over the recommended level. I ran this an adventure league game but included a Don Meepo as the party’s patron who was the mission giver. But I did call backs to pass chapters. So occasionally (for example) an NPC from Chapter 2 would appear in the crowd in Chapter 10. As the rest of my advice would contain spoilers, I will quit typing.

Thank you so much for the suggestions! We've played with 2 players in the past too and I'm also playing as a player in one with just 2 players so we're quite experienced to adjusting! We also enjoy the "get the mission done and get out" type of playing when we're just 2 so I try to keep it a bit harder without destroying them of course 😅 We've set their characters in Candlekeep to solve this problem and I'm thinking that they could evolve into the official investigators over time so that I don't have to find a different excuse for each chapter 😜 They know that already! They already finished the first one and it was a lot of fun! I've read through the second and I love the concept so I'm optimistic about that too! I'll see and adjust as we go 😁 Thank you again!!!!

As a DM, learning to prepare less and focus your time on more versatile prep work is a difficult transition, but definitely worthwhile to avoid forcing your PCs into preplanned encounters and simply to help you as a DM enjoy the work you've done alongside the players. Great job.

Oh absolutely! I think it's obvious as a player too, when the DM gives the extra freedom! This was a different situation but the same still applies in my opinion. Adjusting and communicating so that the game is fun for everyone, including the DM, is always going to create a more fun game in all aspects!
