OMG!!! My Lil Polish grandma used to make some kind of pierogis...potato /cheese and cabbage/potato. Chrusciki, light as air. Have you had golobki (pronounced ga wump ki)?? Meat and rice mixture wrapped in cabbage leaves, stacked in tomato sauce and pressure cooked! Good lord I'm drooling! Kielbasa is still my favorite sausage! Hillshire Farms brand, if you have it up there, is the closest I've come to the kielbasa I remember as a kid! Thanks for the ride. I wonder if Pittsburgh ships.🤔😁

Kudos to you & your family for traveling during the COVID-19 post-winter of 2021! I loved seeing all the Pittsburgh videos but it seems like a ghost town… even in late March! There are so many people in the city who worked from home over the Covid months that I’m not surprised by the lack of people on the streets. This Tuesday will be June 1 and lots of people have been vaccinated and lots of businesses and restaurants are now open for business inside and out, so come back and visit us and maybe see the 3 Rivers arts festival June 4 through the 13th! It is really a special treat to attend! The fountains should ALL be in operation!

If S&D is your benchmark for perogies in Pittsburgh, then I feel for you. They have re-heated machine made Chicago perogies. There are tons of places offering real perogies in PGH. Try the St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church or COP OUT Perogies or a dozen of other places. You want reheated Kasia perogies, buy them at Giant Eagle - it will be cheaper.
