Maybe it matters less for the president (I can see this argument at least), but these amendments and our local representatives? We absolutely impact that!!

@@AliceintheRabbitHolewell, one of the huge issues with the amendments, etc., on the ballot (I’m talking about state ones specifically) is that they hide a bunch of things. So you don’t know what you’re voting for. They also make the wording confusing so even I (with two advanced degrees) have to read it over and over and still am not really confident in what I’m voting for/against. Specifically to the amendments and things other than “Who Should Be President?,” it does feel like not so much a waste of time, but an overwhelming responsibility. Like, you need to dedicate 20 hrs/week to figuring out what questions will be presented on the ballot and analyzing the specific amendment document, all it’s intentionally obscure legalese, and then try to predict all the downstream effects. Fortunately, ChatGPT makes it easier because at least it can interpret the amendment in laymen’s terms fairly well. But it still requires a crazy amount of time to develop an actually informed decision. That’s why most people are NOT informed when they’re voting. They’re voting based on how that wording feels to them, do they think they benefit from it, etc. The system is not truly designed like a democracy. It’s too hard to get unbiased info.

God I feel for my American sisters at the moment having to fight for basic access and rights to health care :( I’m an Australian and also I work in health care - specifically in medical imaging, so with some specific modalities I do such as ultrasound I’m often very close to women’s reproductive issues, ranging from pregnancy to even unfortunate illnesses and diseases of those systems. I simply cannot imagine how American women feel regarding their autonomy and reproductive rights right now. I’ve seen and been involved in the treatment and care on that side of it, and for such imperative care to be denied based on the mindset of folk who haven’t spent a DAY in health care just breaks my heart. Your vote counts, I hope for the best for you all. Fantastic video as always! Really interested in that solawave dupe. Would love to see a more in depth comparison of all these at home skin care devices if you ever get the chance! I have the basic medicube skin booster and even tho there’s not a lot of scientific research or literature backing up their claims, anecdotally I have to admit I do adore my device.

I had a hysterectomy several years ago because I didnt trust the US to keep abortion legal and people acted like I was crazy. I remember before using Differin cream I used to use that Geek and Gorgeous A game. I also liked the Korean Scinic Retinal, Dr Differint and Dr Vanita Rattans serum for retinal. I am a doctor and yeah we have a lot of rules, I work in the UK where abortions are legal and lots of people get them here (we also get people come from other countries as there are a lot of private clinics for it), our free healthcare allows access to everyone, but it's more the medical council that set our rules rather than the government

I was happy to see G&G release a A-Game 20, their 0.2% retinal at a reasonable price while also containing 1% Ectoin. I have had the best retinal experience with their products, but I will be slow to try their 0.2% product because I am having to begin retinal at the lowest percentage all over again. I was at 0.1% retinal and my skin became reactive, to what I still don’t know exactly, but I removed retinal and scaled back my routines to allow my skin to recover. I have mature, dry skin and rosacea, which seems to be the thing that is the primary cause of the sensitivity. It’s frustrating because I saw positive results with retinal from Beauty of Joseon and then G&G. Thank you for trying so many products and having to take out actives to do so for a legitimate review, I appreciate your scientific research mind so much.

ugh! I wish I could use Retinoids - I don't even want to try anymore, the reaction and recovery from the reaction is just too much! I wish I knew what the turning point was for my skin reacting they way it does now, I used to be able to apply anything on my skin. I have to be so careful, but the ingredient ginseng has been so good for me. So far, I know I what to try certain products from the Gongjinhyang Seol, Jinyulhyang, Hwanyu and and Bichup lines from the Whoo - I am still figuring it all out, looking forward to it though. I've got my ballot and will fill out this weekend and drop off Tues before going to work. Regarding bias, yes, I can see how that can be hard for some. People like what they like regardless of what an "expert" my say though some might be dissuaded from using something if they trust the person telling them it's no good. I know there are derms who say at-home devices don't work compared to what you can get in-office. But as one esty put it, for LED you'd go into a derm office perhaps 4x a year at $250 a pop. Where as you buy which mask you like and you actually use it (and I think this is where a lot of derms also side-eye because these devices cost too much money to lay around and collect dust). Oh, G&G has a reasonably priced retinal compared to the same strength offered by Medik8. Are you going to check out The Ordinary 0.2% retinal? And that medicube packaging reminds me of the Idriss packaging.

I think that if you’re well adjusted to stronger retinol products, you can likely try a retinal at a stronger strength than someone not used to retinol (for whom I would recommend the lowest strength). Hope that helps

Great video Alice, I have a question, just an opinion based on your experience. I ordered from Stylevana and got ready to wait. 5 weeks later they told me that my order was dispatched. Well I have the tracking Number. And when I track it via usps it says Label Created, Not yet in System....so ok, I take that to mean that the package has not been delivered to be shipped. Problem is, it's been saying that for 4 weeks!...Have you ever had this happen. Do you think it is likely not going to come at this point?...I figured once it was dispatched it would take a week, but it hasn't even been delivered to usps yet. What would you think? and I can't see how to contact Stylevana, if that would do any good. Any advice is appreciated if you've encountered this...Crazy. And I thought I only had to worry about When it was dispatched, not after.

My tracking numbers pretty much never worked. But has it been 9 weeks total? I’d try reaching out to their CS via email if it has. Expect a delay in terms of replying. And if the issue continues, I hate to say it but it’s best to contact your bank/paypal. An order is a contract between us and these companies to deliver, and while there can be some curveballs (like theft on our doorstep, that’s a tough one) - there simply isn’t an excuse for undelivered packages or for RTS. Hope it gets resolved quickly!

Of course by now I wish I'd ordered a bit differently.

I live in New Zealand and we get fined if we don't vote. But I recently read about "project 25" , that a certain group wants to do in America and I couldn't believe people actually think like that! Or why it's not being talked about more. It's really scary and I don't even live there. But I have friends there and it's truly concerning. It's like returning to medieval times. 😵💫 I wanted to try that collegen serum too, but when I saw it was only 15ml and pricey, I changed my mind. A really good mascara that I found is by the brand "Sweed", it's their pro lift mascara. In turquoise color packaging, but NOT the one with the clouds on it. It has a very fine applicator and it gives the longest fluttery lashes ever!! Doesn't seem to smudge and is easy to remove. It's become my all time favorite. 😊

It’s hard to compare adapalene to retinaldehyde because we currently believe they work on different receptors. That said, adapalene is an active form while retinal requires a conversion. Ultimately I figure both, especially at established percentages, are likely effective!

PS. Insurance companies complicate healthcare. Also, the abortion debate should have never been in the hands of government. The power has been handed to the States. Each state will make their own choice to allow, deny or put on regulations. In my humble opinion, that decision should be between a woman, her doctor and her moral compass.

american sunscreens aren't bad bc of politics 😂 they're bad bc of the money that is needed to prove a drug is safe and effective. companies don't wanna make the investment. the fda is never going to say sunscreen is a cosmetic, bc it prevents skin cancer and is therefore a drug. we are never going to have filters available as fast as in countries that take safety less seriously. the korean sunscreen debaucle is a good example of why we take sunscreen more seriously here.

Thank goodness Bobby Kennedy will be over healthcare and the stupid FDA. Issues regarding babies. Need to be 10000percent out of government. It's between me, my spouse ,family and expert physicians. Also to correct ya Alice. We still have the right to choose ending a pregnancy it's just been re routed back to the states. The biggest issue, is emergencies to the mom or the baby. Family and medical team onlymaking the decisions.
