I'm going to throw out some really good tips that were super helpful in my journey 😁 When using gel I will do my thumb separately because when you cure the whole hand you're thumb is sitting at a weird angle not getting a full on light cure, right. And always take a angled brush with some acetone or 91% alcohol to clean around cuticles and sidewalls when working on multiple nails before curing. Gel continues to self level until cured and will seep into those places, you never want to cure gel on any part of your skin that may lead to an allergy later down the road. Leaving you unable to ever use gel products sadly. So any way we can help prevent we should take that extra time and precaution we love our nails 🥰💅🏽

Just a little warning in case you didn’t know the little lamp you get with the kit is only to flash cure and you should always be doing a complete full cure in your big lamp

The little lamp is fine, if you want you can cure longer with it to be sure.

I love this Beetles product! I have been doing the gel x nails for months now and love the ease of it! I always use a non acid primer and dehydrator on my nails before doing them. I also etch the area on the tip, where my natural nails will be, and then use a bit of primer as well. I put a thin coat of the “glue” on my natural nails and cure, before adhering the tips. After 4 weeks or longer, I’m taking them off, they last me way longer than 21 days doing the previous steps. Just an FYI, I’ve ordered more tips from the Beetles website and gotten them for a pretty decent price as well. Love this polish, it’s actually sitting in my “buy later” list on Amazon 😊😊 thanks for a great video. Oh, and btw, I believe those flowers from Shein are color changing 😊 if you can, dbl check the listing to see if it states. I’ve seen a few other influencers buy and use them, so cute!

Where do u get the non acid primer and dehydrator from? And how do u etch it ?

@@hopeking37 you can get the dehydrator and non acid primer from Amazon. I use the Mia Secrets brand. You can etch, or lightly file, the underside of the tip, only where your natural nail is going to be. You can do this with an efile, small regular file, or chemically with the non acid primer. I have the Gellen starter kit, which is very similar, and I love it! No more messy glue running everywhere! It does take some practice to know exactly how much gel glue to use so it doesn’t overflow, but that comes with time. My lamp didn’t last very long, so I ordered a separate gooseneck UV light, and it works so much better because you’re not limited to what little space the starter lamp gives you. I use a dehydrator and primer before applying the nail, and it makes my set last longer than the glue-on kits. I will never go back to those!

Dry prep has been my go to and I love using a glass cuticle pusher using my efile and a ball bit on 4 rpm to clean up any dry skin or stubborn cuticle 😁💅🏽

Thank you! I do not have a drill yet but will start looking for one. Yea my cuticles and around my nails i pick at and it just makes it looks a mess. But i think when I’m doing my nails more often i have less picking on the sides

They really are better. I have the same kit and love them. If you are like me and prefer a thicker nail as well, you can use a dipping powder kit on top of them to give them that extra thickness, but either way these are the best that I have found.

I also have this kit, but I also purchased a nail dehydrator and a nail primer to use with the kit, to serve as a barrier between my own nail and the gel glue.

Thank you 😊 as far as removing I am not a nail professional lol so I kind of do things my way but instructions say to soak for 10 minutes in “remover” which may mean acetone but for me I’m kind of rough on my nails and use lots of oils on the day to day so when I’m ready to remove my nails i just trim them use some coconut oil and my cuticle oil massage that in then take them off.. at that point it’s not painful

I just bought this and am so nervous to use it because of the allergic reactions I seen on Amazon reviews. I've been doing my nails forever but never tried gel-x. I'd be so heartbroken to get an allergy and never be able to use gel again. I'm confident in my techniques but still worried.
