My grandma used to give out homemade popcorn balls! Back when you could give out homemade treats. They were the best!

My mom did that too! She would make hers with marshmallow and put a little food coloring in with the marshmallow, put in some salted popcorn and mix it around. Then take some plastic wrap, scoop a big glob, wrap it up and make a ball. She'd make batches of different colors and get bags of candy to hand out too.

OMG you guys are hilarious. I needed to laugh tonight. Cam’s new name for Good ‘N Plenty ~ Awful and Too Many. That made me crack up. The black and orange wrapped candy is called peanut butter kisses. A city in North Carolina banned peanut butter kisses to be given out because no one likes them. I’m sure there’s another reason, like the wrapper colors. One bad candy list I saw also had tootsie rolls, necco wafers, waxed cola bottles, smarties, licorice in addition to some of the ones you covered. In my old neighborhood their was a couple that gave out popcorn (made in one of the popcorn carts) My kids loved going there every year and every kid labeled that the best house in the neighborhood. A close second was the elderly lady who gave out full sized candy bars. 😁

My favorite ones are mounds, recies , and regular m&ms. Never liked lemon heads, or any of the sour candy. But always hated when people gave me floss or tooth brushes, or the houses that gave out raisin, apples or oranges.
