In this video, I put popular TikTok study hacks to the test! 📚💡 We’ll explore the effectiveness of using flashcards with the Leitner system, a proven study technique that optimizes learning by spacing out your review sessions.
We’ll also discuss the pros and cons of making flashcards and how to use it to improve your revision.
I’ll also be trying the ’Studying Until the Candle Dies’ trend! 🔥 So many of you have asked me to try this, so I asked my friend Eve to accompany me to make it more challenging.
I was inspired to make this series ever since watching Ann Reardon’s series on debunking viral (and often unsafe) social media cooking videos. It inspired me to test my own set of viral study hacks to see if they are effective or just attention-seeking.

for this whole candle technique where u said u dont get breaks, what i would do is after every hour id blow out the candle, take a 15 minute break and then light the candle again

For me personally, candle method really helps me at night time studying. I use Christmas candles (the one use for candlelight dinners) & they burn for about 3- 3 & half hours. It makes me feel accomplished

Hi Faye, so after failing my exams two years in a row i became desperate and decided to change my study techniques. I must say that i wasn't 100% with all the tips you've shared in your videos. I came across your channel last year around this same time. I tried to follow some of the tips and I stuck to what worked for me. I'm happy to say that I finally passed my exams with really good grades (though I can do better) after switching up my study techniques and especially starting to study way earlier in the year. You have no idea how much this channel has impacted me. I believe in my final year I'll get better grades if I commit to these tips and put in twice as much effort. Thank you so much. God bless you

Hey faye, I have a little suggestion with the candle hack.When we feel that we cannot go any further than we can simply blow off the candle and that's our break and we can burn the candle again after break(I've tried this challenge on this KZbin channel). Even I tried to study with a candle and I honestly was so distracted because of the pretty flame lol. I do agree that there is no room for a break, so it was a bit inconvenient though my candle was super short

i would recomend that you mark areas on the candle and up to then study, you can also mark times for breaks and stop your break when the candle reaches that mark
