Good to see you moved to Waddell. It's like a mass exodus at URS. I've been there 16 years and I'm leaving for another carrier company, the one out of Road Island in 2 weeks. Glad to see your doing well.

I have several friends at URS and from what they have told me, it seems URS is determined to make their “more productive dispatch system” work regardless of whether they have any drivers left or not. I wonder if it will be too late for the company when they figure out that carhaulers will not generally run like truckload freight haulers. The carhaulers I know with them have 20-30-40 years in the industry and that experience will not be replaced.

I’m sure you’ll love it there from what I’ve heard they run the same way Waddle does.

I just don’t get it why they’re doing what their doing. Experienced hard working car haulers aren’t replaceable. And they can’t be forced to run what they don’t like running they will just leave to a company that can give them the runs they like. Every company I’ve watched over the 15 years I’ve been hauling cars that started thinking there’s a revolving door around new car haulers is no longer here. I can think of 6-7 right now that started acting like that and now their no longer in business. It’s really sad to see.

I left urs a year ago due to the lack of work and Paul outta of Fontana I was out of Arizona and Shawn my terminal manager great guy it’s just when you leave state lines your under there control and they would send the Cali guys to as to get the higher paying loads and send us to Cali to run a local for 78 a dollars 60 miles away and would dispatch us till 7 am so it would take 4 hours to get to get the cars 4 hours to deliver and only make one load for the 78 bucks they are going to shit I’m with a new auto hauler company and I’m making way more than I have ever made at united road.

Thank you for your videos. I have a question as far as the pay. I get different answers different people doing this type of work which is completely understandable. So what can I make per year in a bad economy and in a good economy (if something like that exists) doing OTR all across the USA/Canada as a new company driver? Be safe and keep up the good work. Thank you.
@dylannewton63817 ай бұрын
With drivers paid off percentage in this industry more often than not. People could make anywhere from 60-150k/year I'd assume.
@CarcarrierTv7 ай бұрын
So I don’t think it matters much if your otr or regional home every weekend. Otr you might make 3-5k more per year because you’ll get some huge paying loads but then you’ll be in an area where there’s no real work. So it kinda evens out. But I’ll say first year expect 60-85k because you’ll be learning. After that you should be able to pull 110-185k every year after that.

The thing about hauling cars is you have to work hard and smart ( or just be "lucky") to make the best $$

Is it beginning to get difficult for experienced Carhaulers to get a job?
@CarcarrierTv7 ай бұрын
@donaldgreene3105 that’s what I’ve been told. A bunch of drivers have told me they’re applying everywhere and they keep hearing maybe in a few months when things pick back up
