it works by just taking in a shit ton of Minecraft footage, video, not data. So it's generating frame by frame based on the previous frame. Because it only references the previous frame there's no object permanence or anything. Also you can't control the hotbar because that's also based on whatever it's expecting to see given the scenery

I've seen countless videos of this AI minecraft project and this video is by far the most I've ever seen with it's functioning. You've managed to actually take fall damage and lava damage. You've managed to fall underwater You've experienced the daylight cycle which I haven't seen anyone else witness yet. You've somehow made or entered an actual house. Somehow you got a tooltip? you've found a REAL MOB? dude that's HELLA rare AND YOU'RE THE FIRST PERSON to enter the nether GGs man, you're the first dude to experience all of this in one video.

I feel like a lot of people are missing the point of Oasis. It’s a showcase of the technological innovation where you can have a “game” that generates frame by frame and can receive inputs from you. Minecraft was probably chosen because it’s simple and has a ton of training data to work with. This isn’t trying to compete with Minecraft; it’s a demo using Minecraft as a placeholder.

You gotta gaslight the AI into rendering the end by doing god knows what; Rendering (and maybe even killing?) the dragon doesn't seem that hard considering it's knit-tight relation to the End, cept it's the part where you have to keep the reality in check and not have it detiorate into honeycombs or a dark cave or whatever

You can sort of "beat" the game by rotating, twisting and walking backwards around certain objects and colours. There are methods to enter the Nether and the End, but the AI tries turn everything back into the overworld, so it's a constant fight of shifting and morphing colours.

To beat this you need to build a structure which looks close to the end portal and hold something sort of reminiscent of ender eyes ... what can you get ... ink sac? I bet those would glitch into ender eyes by themselves. Surely the thing will just assume that whatever you rightclick end frames with is ender eyes and behave accordingly... Then you just need to pretend to place beds on the ender dragon perching spot... or happen to find a built portal to the credits in the end. There might be shortcuts where you could trick the AI into thinking you were in the end looking at the overworld portal to begin with. I don't think this is unbeatable, but any strategy would entirely disregard the typical minecraft game loop.

Yeah, beacause AI is not supposed to be a thing, it is supposed to be a tool to get there. I've been able to implement some Ai magic to my work and surprise! Instead of work my ass of to do something, I just need to use the IA well enough to do the work, and there is nothing wrong with taking shortcuts, since we wouldn't have a lot of things. Now, using the AI to steal someone's image is not acceptable.
