@@danbrioli5710 Triple is a real bastard, honestly! I did finally manage to beat it with a Ballistas/Poison Sprayers run, I may have had a few Lookouts in there as well but I can't remember. Got very lucky with universities, honestly. Creeping Cough is incredibly good for keeping enemies in the sprayer killzone.

easiest way to beat triple defense is going back in time and use teslas.

Pish. Tower variety was never the problem. Tower types and overreliance on bad ones were. Tesla Coil, Particle Cannon and Encampment are really, really bad. Obelisk is meh - too expensive to maintain. If he had added Mortars, Shredders, Frost Keeps and Lookouts to this run, he would've won just as easily.

@@blahthebiste7924 Literally just used both of those in combination with balistas to win a level not a minute ago. 10 shredders + a row of balistas with slow and I was set for the small fry as long as I upgraded those shredders occasionally but I'm like "damned, this won't kill the boss." So I placed down 10 radars with 0 upgrades around lv40. Boss was dead before he got to the kill corridor. I'm planning to just pick up radar always now honestly. You can go all aoe and such without worrying. Lost a fire+poison spreader game because it just barely didn't kill the boss and that ain't happening again.

All the best tower upgrades are locked behind the +1 and +2 damage. After that appears the good upgrades like +2 ballista range, freezing ballista bolts, poison frost keeps, extra frost keep range, etc.

All the best upgrades end a tree, increasing consistency. Most of the good upgrades don't add 2 or more upgrades to the pool. There are pretty powerful upgrades further in, usually that power is there to compensate for the cost involved in getting there. (But if you've already payed those costs, then not reaping the benefits might not be the best choice.)

The maple leaf is to help during distribution. Your customs and border services require a certain disclaimer/disclosure to be printed on the packaging. The maple leaf lets the warehouse crew easily determine if they're grabbing canada friendly packs.

NL im just trying to inform you the maple leaf is for the company that makes the packaging. I work in a factory that makes plastic bottles for spices and snacks. We make the exact same bottle for US and Canada but we have to differentiate which ones going where for exporting reasons

My house burned my senior year of high school. I got up in the middle of the night to take a pee and the bathroom light didn't work. I just thought the bulb blew and went back to bed. Must admit, certainly makes me feel good about my ~20% non-fail rate in triple defense...... My preferred setup is lookouts (a lookout at the back of my tower gets a lot of mileage out the starting ballistas), flametowers early, combining/transitioning to poison sprayers (creeping cough a must), and obelisks (on most health/near death, to pop the spawners, and at the backend to clean up.....Mana always a problem). Radar for the bosses (also good for popping the log house spawners early on) Cheers

58:21 I made the graph for you, and assuming that you haven't manually upgraded any of your universities, which isn't the case in this game, getting 1 upgrade is not 10% chance but more like 19.6% chance and getting 2-6 upgrades is not 75% chance but more like about 72% chance. You didn't nail it on the probability of getting 1 upgrade but you kinda nailed it on getting 2-6 upgrades.

I swear NL doesn't even look at the upgrades in front of him. Has massive crit chance but doesn't even acknowledge that he can get 10% bonus damage on crits on burning enemies.

Finally finished it. One hell of a journey. This just leaves the question of what's going to fill the video void? Maybe go back to Vampire Survivors for a few weeks? It's gotten several updates, including new weapons, maps, characters, upgrades, achievements... Or maybe you'll find something brand new. Still, great work on beating the tower.

NL fundamentally misunderstands the concept of tower defense games which is why he struggled so much with this game. He said that the bottom choke was 2x because it had 2 paths and the one above it was 3x. The bottom choke is 7x and each choke above that is less. Defenses on that choke will hit everything so as long as status effects are applied early all dmg should be concentrated on a path where every single enemy will walk. 17:50
