Crazy you upload this I was on FM7 last night did a clean 7.40 in the 90's Ferrari F1 car in the wet on the Nordschleife, abs off TCS off & stability off with manual gearbox ( no clutch ), I was happy with that tbh, then i tried in the Renault F1 car ( with above settings again ) it was fine in the high speed corners but couldn't get to grips with it in the low speed corners ( the carousel was interesting ! ) it didn't want to turn, tried adjusting the car and made it worse ! Great watch 👌

And the racing line will also help. Extending out to the ends of the track can help you carry more speed through the corners and accelerate sooner. Finally, alot of the corners are deceiving and you can brake later, accelerate sooner, carry more speed or go flat out in.

@@DUBSmb yeah. It does take practice but you could definitely get there eventually. It's all about going full send and having confidence because like you said, it's a game and not real life so a mistake won't matter really

that section right before rebel tree is my worst section of the track. all the way from the end of the straight to the chicane at the top of the hill. tough section to do fast. i'll try your suggestion. maybe i can shave a couple seconds off my 5:32 in the Sauber Mercedes.

I don't want to be the smartass but the 919 Evo has around 1150 hp and it has a ton more downforce. 😉 Also it's got way longer lasting electric boost than the "regular" 919 though that's not a factor for FM7 since you're always on the boost in Forza. Still the Evo is around 30 mph faster on the straight, which is insane. Personally i think Timo could've gone quiet a bit faster than 5:19 on his record lap. But that was quiet the effort DUBS. Especially with a controller. Even with a wheel i struggle to get a clean lap around the Nordschleife, with a controller i'd likely bin it even before the Flugplatz. 😁

Bumper cam view is the most ideal on a large screen, im using a 14 foot wide (only 1080p) projector and in bumper can view with the wheel, pedals and shifter its like your really there, only downside I have, or so I think, is my seat, I have tried my gaming chair, my office chair and my smaller lazy boy chair and it still feels like there can be improvement.

Done like 40 laps on the ring w an F1 car and it's so hard. You have to react earlier that u think and some times you can brake later than the game tells you so it becomes a guessing game and a test of your trust in the car you use

Dubs, if you coast a bit then brake you are able to brake for a shorter time then accelerate sooner as while keeping the car as stable as possible

If this is the record holder, then why is everyone in the top 100+ using the Renault RS17??? No doubt the 919 Evo is quick and the record holder. I have used the 919 Hybrid in the game with a Logitech wheel, 3 pedals and a shifter and the best I can get thus far is 5:59:30 with TCM, ABS, and brake line only ON, yet with the Renault RS17 with EVERYTHING OFF and in manual mode I get a 5:59:80. Someone has a 4:44:xx time with the Renault RS17, how the F**K did they pull that off???
