just realized that my grandmum is that girl. And has been that girl for decades. she wakes up at 6, makes the bed, drinks her water, meditates, does yoga, has a bath, and gets ready, teaches English to kids, reads a book or something, walks around the park for 30 min, AND does her skincare before going to bed early !!!!!!!!!

I think the idea that you need to be “that” girl all the time is toxic. But aspiring to be “that” girl every now and then can be a form of self care, if that makes sense?
@hauntedmushroomsasmr77163 жыл бұрын
I agree! Like I think striving to live life for the pure aesthetics all the time and constantly comparing your life to a Pinterest board is damaging I think (I also think a lot of the girls that do this don’t have jobs). However, I think the principle of being more organized, more productive, and incorporating more self-care in your daily routine is wonderful. ☺️❤️

There was a period of my life where I was 'that girl' I named this type of people 'funzionali', which in Italian means 'functional'. From the outside, I might have been looked like an all-together person, but inside I was dying.

I hope I don’t sound weird , but Susie has made me feel better about my body . She’s not even an “ inspirational “ influencer. She’s more funny and entertaining but seeing her live her best life made me feel better. I got sucked into the social media “ perfect” hourglass body with less than ten percent of fat on their body. ( not shaming anyone who does . Some people can’t help it and you’re still beautiful 😍)
@jasminem73903 жыл бұрын
No seriously I feel like bodies like ours are painted so bad in the media. You’ve got super skinny/Slim thick celebs and then you’ve got beautiful plus sized celebs but every single time a body type like ours is mentions it’s “______ is getting fat??” Or it’s the before image on the cover of a magazine. It’s just so great to see someone that looks like me and actually looks good bc media refuses to let that happen.
@Jay-okc3 жыл бұрын
@@jasminem7390 I know !! And if she’s “ plus sized “ it’s a slim thick woman with no other body fat on her except for her wide hips and thighs . I feel like our body shape has always had a negative connotation while the skinny bodies are what girls are killing themselves for . What girls are ruining their bodies for , spending thousands of dollars for .
@malibustacey38703 жыл бұрын
Are you sure those ppl have 10% body fat? It's actually the very lowest spectrum of %fat for men, so I hardly believe a female can achieve that...I think 25% is a very decent amount, you are lean, and you keep your figure... I have always been super insecure about my body, even when I was 50 kg. I'm from 'that generation' where we didn't have social media and stuff. However, even the 3D/analogue reality was already taxing. I can't imagine what it may be now for the young ppl... we all caught up in this bubble, but I think when someone is in their formative years, this overload of info and standards can be even harder to take in x

Thank you for this fun, entertaining video! When you were doing the pilates I was like "yes girl, I relate!". I've been doing my own version of a "That Girl" morning routine and I'm really liking it so far. I wake up at 7, do some self-improvement/spiritual reading, shower, brush teeth/do skincare, get dressed in workout outfit, take my dog for a walk, make a cup of green tea with lemon and ginger (surprisingly delicious!) and eat a banana or apple with crunchy peanut butter, and sit outside drinking my tea. Then I do a 10-20 minute easy yoga workout, and then get started with my day. The whole thing takes about an hour and I feel like it sets my whole day up for sucess.

I always just want to be productive, I've totally been in a rut since the pandemic began. Actually more so since I got married and became a mom because I'm a stay at home wife and mom and we live out of state with no family around and I don't really have friends, so I have been going in and out of ruts since I moved out to california basically. But ive yet to get out of this rut for the past year since the pandemic began bc obviously much more closed off and stress due to quarantine. I've been trying more lately, since the beginning of the month I've lost 10 lbs, im super overweight after this baby he is 3 months old and I want to get back and feel comfortable and confident and beautiful in my clothes. I've also stopped doing my hair and makeup as much which is part of the reason I don't feel as beautiful. I need to just learn more hairstyles that are up-dos because I don't like to have my hair down when I'm in the kitchen so it doesn't get in food, but I'm cooking all day long for my family of 5, so I hate to put it up and down continuously. It's also hard for me to wear makeup with the hot california weather that I'm not used to. I find it to be a really bad gross feeling wearing makeup and being so hot and sweating. I've been doing good this month tho, I feel myself tapering off but this re-motivated me. Thank you!
