Hey guys... I only changed on thing, and this is what happened.
I got very sick last year and was on bed rest for more than a year, and I gained 10 Lbs during that time of bedrest. Fast forward to this year - one month ago, and it had been about 18 months since I got so sick. However, I was still struggling with depression and anxiety (from being so sick), I still wasn't fitting into my clothes and I still had weight to lose - I still wasn't feeling like myself. Then I heard about this one thing that literally changed everything overnight... and this is what happened.
I hope you enjoy this video and find it helpful!

Literally you need to have time and especially a free mind for this...if i dont finish an essay or another paperwork for uni c.f. cause there's simply an obstacle which i couldn't forecast there's no way for me to free my mind and just get on with sports...and that's where this vicious circle starts: an exception becomes a habit...you just can't plan your whole life

My psychologist told me that as well, and then try and find the underlying reason for it. Why do you think other deserve your time more that you do? I haven't figured it out yet, as it comes with a bigger amount of self acceptence and love than I currently have, but it is an insight that is good to think of every now and then. You (/I) deserve to spent time doing thinks that make you (/me) a better person in the long run, even if it is not so nice right now. For me it helped a lot with studying habits (in Uni atm) but it also goes for other lifestyle things, like eating well, working out, cleaning your room/house. Not always easy, but good to keep in mind

I was the same and could never loose wait with exercise/diets because I never stuck to them. And I finally lost about 8 kilos (dk how much it is in pounds) with anxiety and heartbreak, so yeah not a fun way to loose weight. I’m telling you all this because I used to believe that I wasn’t able to loose weight because I didn’t see results immediately or I would just get discouraged, but now I can see that I can and whenever I wanna lose those 2/3 extra kilos I’m much more motivated because I know that my body is capable of reaching that weight. I also used to be scared that once I’d reach my weight goal Id gain it all back because I’d be hungry and stuff, but that’s not true because my body adapted and doesn’t feel hunger as much as it used to, and rightfully so because I used to eat food in excess. So trust me you’ll get used to it, u just need to make it a habit. Plus trust me looking at yourself in the mirror with that new body, being able to wear those clothes... it’s a feeling like no other! I got so confident and felt much happier, I finally wasn’t ashamed of putting on shorts or going to the beach :’) Btw I am 158 cm (approx 5’1’’) and used to weigh 57-61 kg (depending on the time of year, during the summer I’d gain weight) and my lowest weight (after I broke up with my bf) was 47 kg Now I’m at 51/52 but I’m trying to get to 47 again because my body was the bomb at that weight

I think it is really important to realise that you are not perfect, you don't have to be perfect and you can't be perfect. Being perfect is not the goal. You are enough the way you are and you are good the way you are. Of course, you can try to "better" yourself (I mean, guess why I'm here), but don't expect too much from yourself. You won't change completely who you are in a week. You have to understand that you are the way you are. It is your character, the one you have for this life. You have flaws but everyone does and that's what makes life interesting. Try to accept and understand yourself and when you have done that, you can set goals to achieve. I believe that everyone can accept himself/herself, but it is a process for most of us, which is completely normal and fine.

So true!!! Don't get me wrong it can definitely be a positive, but that's exactly what happened to me with diet and exercise in college. It became an obsession, i put it before literally everything else in my life, and felt extreme guilt and sadness whenever I would slip up. It took YEARS to heal from that, and for the record I'm fatter than ever now so it wasn't even worth it (95% of diets fail [fail as in the weight is regained, usually with extra on top] within 5 years. don't listen to people who lost weight 6 months ago, 2 years ago, or even 4 years ago. Look for the people with 10+ years behind them)

I understand chronic illness, anxiety and depression, which can be debilitating. Am so glad you're doing better and on the mend and recovering. Your video is much appreciated - so it's really a shift in how we think which can enable us to follow-through on our goals. I'd never thought about it that way before. Not trusting ourselves mostly leads to failure. By following through and completing the promises to ourselves, we build a strong foundation which enables us to fulfill our goals. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Keep the promises you make to yourself to trust yourself and build your self confidence, Achieve your body goals first and then achieve other goals in life 1. Worked out 5x a week 2. diet plan 3. Bed on time / wake up on time 4. Worked at set time daily 5. Don’t break your promises

I needed this so much! My gosh, talk about a lightbulb moment. I suffer from post natal depression and I realised I haven’t been setting mini goals and sticking to them so as a result I haven’t made / stuck to life goals. And i felt like body goals weren’t enough. But you’ve totally spun me round. Thank you 🙏🏻 Also, love your accent! Hubby is from PE, moved to Australia when he was 19 so lost his accent. I love the SA accent 😍

You just gave me the kick in the ass I needed. I am also coming out of a really deep depression and battling with confidence and self doubt. The past two years have been really hard on me, and it took away from joyous times such as my wedding last fall. However, I'm working on building a business, working full-time and trying to be a present and loving wife to my husband, and Mommy to my fur children. The biggest loss of confidence and Trust has been with myself. I will be watching this video every time I need to be reminded to keep going. 💙

Love this thank you, I felt like I was having a nervous breakdown last night and just in so many transitions, even not taking care of my body like I normally do. They are so connected, and I carry this feeling of being defeated I think is happening because I've set big goals this year that I can't envision myself completing, when we do things we've never done before building this trust with ourselves is so important, because we're stepping into new territory when can feel quite overwhelming! Thank you so much for this inspiration.

As an entrepreneur I learned from a successful mentor to fill the role of two people. As the boss, create structure & establish systems to track progress. Schedule an agenda of actions with deadlines or quotas. As the worker, start work on time, invest in the purpose & follow through on assignments to get paid. Occasionally the boss evaluates the worker's performance. What's going well & what needs to be improved? Separating these roles instills accountability & increases productivity. It's similar to the concept she explains in the video of keeping promises we set with ourselves to build self trust. Either way, consistent practice of taking action builds momentum that leads to success.

This really hit home. Last year when my brother in law was deployed, I moved in with my sister to help out with my newborn niece. When my brother in law returned home I gained 20 lbs since my main focus was taking care of my niece. Since he has been home I have been trying to lose the 20lbs but I have been getting so frustrated because I felt like I wasn't able to lose it as fast as I have in the past. Watching your video made me realize how much I was doubting myself. From this moment forward I am going to make the promises that I need to make for myself and follow through with them. Thank you so much for posting this video. It awakened me of the things that I didn't even realize I was doing.
