Yeah I'm a bit biased as for the traditional look of the Peterbuilts & even 2 of the Kenworth w900 & especially the studio sleepers. But is it a Peterbuilt ? Nope 😂 That aside, I genuinely hope I didn't bring up old memories for you. Though knowing folk from other areas & even 3 elder friends still alive who survived WWII 2 from the camps 1 who successfully hid through the Dutch resistance. Those memories are never forgotten, the pain somewhat lessens & ppl learn to "cope". 1) it's okay to feel 2) just as big I hope I didn't bring up anything for you. Your story is amazing! & I agree in that many who are born here, do not truly grasp all that we have. As I have traveled the globe many times. Even parts that are not friendly to many. I have a variety of friends who like you have a story of true strength & overcoming true hardship, that have a better life either in the EU, US or Canada. - & again Fck what ppl say about your language, if they're that big a 🍼👶🤱 then they can kiss your you know what 😂.

Glad you found your reefer, trailer looks clean and TK's are nice units! You're the real deal when it comes to trucking, wish more drivers had the common sense and courtesy you show for others when out there. I never take an entire parking spot when bobtail either, its just plain selfish and thoughtless for those who need to park truck and trailer! I am the son of a legal immigrant who escaped Cuba just before castro took over. I heard the horror stories from my family, they were so happy to be Americans, and like you they deeply loved and appreciated this country! It takes someone like you who truly knows how hard the world is and how blessed we in America are, wish more Americans had the appreciation, love and passion for what we have here as you do! Safe travels, and G-d Bless you Brotha! PS; I also run a 48' flatbed and love it. Personally prefer it to the reefer and the pita wherehouses and up all night clusterf@ck appointments, and long wait times. Having two types of trailers gives me options depending on the market, basically what pays better at the time. I would recommend trying out flat bedding sometime, loads are always changing and often interesting and challenging and you actually get loaded and unloaded much quicker and during normal work hours. That beautiful Blue Pride and Class Pete would look great pulling a skateboard too!
@OTRBandit6 ай бұрын
I really appreciate that buddy 🙏🏼 we really are blessed to be here. People that were born here will never understand how bad it is outside of USA. I was thinking about buying a flat bed sometime next year just so I can have different options for loads. More options, the better. I think reefer will be allot tougher than dry van but I think I should be ok. As long as I’m paid good, I don’t mind the crazy hours.

It should have been ready when you got there !!!! Oh yes 1 more comment lol… your drive axles will always be heavy cuz remember with a reefer you got approx. 2200#’s of weight sitting on the nose of your trailer from the engine… so make sure when they load you at the shipper, they load it a correctly! For example load of meat, candy, cheese, milk, eggs, raw dough, etc weighing 42,000 or more pounds would be single double single double all the way to the back or it can be double, single, double… only time that won’t work is it’s a fully loaded trailer double stacked… just depends on how many pallets cuz yes there is multiple patterns to balance out the weight in the trailer which is usually are posted at the shippers… you can google / KZbin it… but if your hauling 35,000#’s or less than it won’t matter too much… 36,160#’s fully fueled empty weight is not bad cuz my Freightliner Cascadia was 33,500#’s fully empty… peterbilts are heavier for sure… but good rule of thumb is 40,000 or more pounds always get a scale ticket to be safe & legal… and not every time you’ll be able to get full tanks cuz of the weight… plenty of times i had to do 1/2 tanks otherwise I’d be overweight… and when i was super heavy I’d only do up to 35 gallons per tank… i always liked having an even amount of diesel per tank cuz i felt as it helped out better & yes I’m OCD lol… and just cuz you have a reefer trailer doesn’t mean you can’t do dry loads too… now you can haul both dry and refrigerated goodies to make even more money… like you might find a good refrigerated load going somewhere and haul a good paying dry load to the house… you never know cuz that’s fun of trucking lol… they even make reefer trailers with 3 zone settings with separate compartments (bulkheads) that can haul frozen, refrigerated, and dry all at the same time… seen a lot of food service companies and some grocery companies do that… Yeah i know too much rambling lol… take care and stay safe buddy!
@OTRBandit6 ай бұрын
You are absolutely right and that. I scaled with truck and reefer full of fuel and I’m 6K more on my drives than on my trailer. I like filling my tanks equally as well. And most of the time when I fill up, I fill up all the way but I think filling up halfway would definitely help with weight. I’ve seen those trailers that have multi temp zones. I’m just not experienced enough to try that right now. I know dollar general has those trailers where they would have milk and ice cream inside the same trailer. I am very happy about the reefer I can’t even explain.

If you get bored being a Dswinger, 😂 would you consider hauling Oversize Truck, Fire & Rescue Equipment, Farm Implement Equipment and Specialized Machinery? I know of a great company, but their not near you location. Not sure where you live, so I'm sure that would play a major role. Also, if you hate the cold as much as I do... you're F'd buddy! For they are in an upper midwestern state. 🥶

Question, have you considered a green apu unit instead of the generator.?
@OTRBandit6 ай бұрын
I definitely did but every time APU breaks down. I would have to take a few days off until it gets repaired. If this generator breaks down, I can just take it in to Harbor Freight tools and get a brand new one for free because I got extended warranty on it..

Trick. I learned from somebody that was running a refer for much longer than I was to put a load lock about a foot foot from back wall of the refer so that you won't have any problems scaling. This Will keep the weight off of your front axle The only place this hurt me ever was in California with 40 ft bridge rule

I appreciate that very much. I don’t like using Gods name in vein like that. God is great and nobody should mess around with that. Also another thing that I would never talk about badly is people’s race. We’re all human and it doesn’t matter to me what color everyone is. Things are allot worse out here than when you were driving. There are allot of people out here driving that have no business driving.

You want a brand new reefer trailer go to Great Dane in Wayne, Nebraska. I'll be honest with you. They will make things right with you. I've always been very happy with them at Great Dane in Wayne, Nebraska. That Utility trailer place is a bunch of crap. Again you're awesome and I really like your channel and I don't like to see you getting ripped off.

I didn’t really consider buying a brand new reefer as my first reefer trailer because I don’t know if I’m going to like it or not. that’s why I went with used trailer on my first reefer purchase. I like this reefer stuff, I will definitely buy a brand new one in couple of years. And I will definitely consider that place up in Wayne Nebraska. I appreciate it brother. Thank you very much. I would’ve liked great Dane better than utility anyway because for some reason it looks better to me..
